Purchased a car that was sitting for 10 years and they drain the gas? 1995

I am wondering what to do at this point as I believe I have burned through most of the old gas driving home and already put a few gallons of fresh gas mixed with it. Should I still siphon everything out or leave it be?

the fuel pump, the rubber hoses and belts and the breaks are about to fail, take it to a place to get checked

Add Techron or Gumout Regane HM to a full tank, do taht twice. It will clean the system very well. Those cleaners are particularly good, have PEA as agent. Not all cleaners do.

Depending on what the car has, you might want to add a bottle of carburetor cleaner or fuel injector cleaner to your next fill-up.

Thank you for the tip! I've been wondering if fuel ibjector cleaner would be a good idea or not. Im afraid if there's a possibility of doing damage, at least more than I already might have.

Its a 95 Pathfinder! Automatic and 4x4 equipped. Thought, I haven't got around to checking if it actually works.

The idea is to drain the nasty gas before you run it so it doesn't gum everything up. At this point you just get to deal with gummed up parts as the issues arise.

Yep. Time to change the fuel filter.

Will do along along with all fluids.

You drove it home so the gas was good enough, you burnt through it, and now there’s new gas. It’s fine, keep driving.

Right on. Thank you

10 year old gas and it ran? Wow, your luck is better than mine.
