One of the jewels was found in the vicinity of the museum so far, hope that they find more.
I'd also like to see the security report of how something like this was allowed to happen (it took them 7 minutes to get in and out).

A hacker typed stuff and broke the firewall while saying "I'm in" or whatever in fr*nch

Oooooooohhh the memories, leverage was the english title right?

Yup, real fun show.

Apparently they used some construction site lift to have a faster access way, and there were no guards in the breached room.
Hard to defend against such a scenario. You don't want guards with guns everywhere because in the worst case you end up with some nutjob fleecing the gun from a guard and shooting everyone in sight...

I am kinda curious what glass it was in the windows, maybe stronger glass would have prevented the whole thing.
eomertherider@reddit
There probably isn't a need for guns, but guards or a better access plan for the lift/room would probably have sufficed.
thepatriotclubhouse@reddit
? Guns would probably help. Bare minimum security for “priceless” jewels haha

Why does it matter if they find more?
I’m not sure who owns the jewels but knowing France they probably stole them from another country.
Samiel_Fronsac@reddit
The Crown Jewels of France. Made for France, owned and kept for historical reasons, since there are no Royals anymore.
It matters because the best place for these items is display in a public museum, not some billionaires private collection.
Infinite-4-a-moment@reddit
Because it's better for them to be on display for people to enjoy than stripped and sold to thr highest bidder. Seem obvious.
PejibayeAnonimo@reddit
There are remodelation works on the area they entered, so probably nobody thought of the construction lift as something suspicious.

with modern day technology, it seems so incredibly simple to .. publish all the video footage of this heist. that'll be wiiiild.
man. what a time to be alive.
