These laying hens have more sqft of living space than us truckers while out on the road. Also mini fridge help?

Thought it was interesting since o neverreallythoughtabout it. I was just making myself some breakfast sandwiches with those smoked boneless pork chops you can buy at loves and some home made biscuits.
My fridge keeps over heating for some reason and spikes up to 50 degrees for some unknown time so i am only keeping either frozen raw meats for up to a few months in the freezer box or smoked (and/or) cured meats in the fridge section for no more than a day or 2. Some areas stay relatively cold up on the top shelf the average according to my laser thermometer and fridge specific thermometer it stays around 33-40 But the bottom floor gets above 50. Idk what to do.

I have a Midea two-door fridge/freezer that I bought at Costco years ago. Still runs like a champ, despite all the bumps and jostles on America's worst roads.

So you drive in IN, MI, and/or PA?

I've got this exact fridge. Fits snugly in my Freightliner. Been perking away cheerfully for 4y now.

Need to pull the fridge and clean the condenser is my guess.

Sounds like not enough air circulation but I know a lot of truck fridges are mounted inside a cabinet.

It is the oem cascadia fridge, I will try and add some fans. To see if it helps in the mean time I'll clean it out and defrost the freezer box and clean the compressor. I might need to buy a portable freezer but those are nearing 600 dollars or more for the high quality ones.

If you have ice build up in the freezer part, that is hurting cold air flow through the rest of the fridge. If that little freezer door is missing, find a replacement.

Bought this over a year ago, freezes to -4 degrees and is very quiet. 12V and 110V adapters from home or car/truck.

Looks like a fantastic size. Thanks

Do you have a Peltier fridge? Or does it actually have a heat pump?
SeaRow556@reddit (OP)
It is a compressor model. And maintains temps regardless of outside ambient temps. So if you are asking if it is one of those truckstop fridges you can buy for 50 bucks a few years ago than no its not that style.
Naborsx21@reddit
oh gotcha gotcha

Sounds like it's time for a home depot run for a new mini fridge
SeaRow556@reddit (OP)
Probably wouldn't hurt, i might just get a standup mini freezer and a small truck stop cheap "refrigerator" for defrosting. But thats only if i can't solve the issue.

Make sure the fan and heat exchanger fins are clean with no dust.

I will get back there and clean it thanks for the tip

Is it just lack of air circulation? Maybe putting some small battery operated fans at the top and bottom will help? Or will that just cause the whole fridge to be in the danger zone?
