Never seen this rigging before
hjal11@reddit
It is a Danish schooner. The rigging is already explained by a lot of other people as a Schooner carrying Refee sails. The way the sails are used in this photo is referred to (jokingly) as "charter on deck". Meaning that there are charter guests on board that are probably not "sailors". So to give them the show of setting sail you only set sails that are easily controlled with minimal rope across the deck.

Raffee rigs were common on the Great Lakes

It's a ship carrying Reffee sails. Pretty uncommon. I think this is actually the same ship in the image, the white railing matches, as does the rigging and other sails. Another word for them is skyscraper sails, but the far more common version was square and was called a moonraker sail. Those were carried above the top gallant sails on clippers and such.

It's a fatamorgana Due to physics happening in the air and light and possibly 💧 you can see things

A two-masted schooner with a triangular topsail called a raffee which is set above a yard. Schooner Denis Sullivan has an excellent example of such a sail, with lots of photos available online. Though, I do not know what boat is pictured here.

It's two boats ðŸ§

Nah just a schooner with a raffee topsail. Not exactly a common thing but it exists.

I'm fairly 90% that this is correct answer.

I'm fairly certain the boat is the Danish Schooner Brita Leth of Aarhus. During WWII she tranported Jews from Denmark to safety in Sweden. https://britaleth.dk/
Not long ago I did read somewhere what the sails might be called - in Danish. I can't remember where though. If I happen to find it I'll post it here.

I think the sail in question would be a Raffee, specifically a split raffee in this case.

Not enough pixels to be certain. Option 1. It's a gaff schooner with only its fore sail set
Or
Option 2. It's a gaff schooner with a course yard and a split rafee- topsail set in addition to the gaff fore sail.
caymn@reddit
its option 2. The Boat is the Danish Schooner Brita Leth of Aarhus where the photo is also taken.

Is that a shadow in a top foresail or.. Dun dun dunnnn..
could it be the elusive Danforth Wind Anchor?

Oh gosh I can't remember the name, but there's a schooner out there with a triangular topsail. The bottom corners go out to the ends of a yard, but the top corner goes to the masthead. I'd bet a dollar that's what you're seeing.
