You really think flooding any industry with surplus capacity, regardless of national origin, won't tank rates?
Just because you choose to scapegoat foreigners doesn't mean it isn't a simple supply vs demand problem. Ban white skin, brown skin, or black skin and you'll see a rise in rates, not because whoever you banned was bad or alone tanking rates. Instead, there's just less capacity.
You contribute to the problem just as much as I do or anyone else in a truck. As a market participant, we all increase capacity and thus decrease rates. If you want to do your part to raise rates, scrap your truck and downgrade your license to a Class D (or your state's/country's equivalent).

The difference is that it's perfectly clear what you mean when you use either "your" or "you're" because you are required to build up enough context to use either word. Where as if you can't speak the American language, no amount of context will let you communicate consistently and clearly, which is infinately important in trucking.

Canada is primarily English and French.
USA is primarily English and Spanish.
Mexico is primarily Spanish, and throughout Central American countries they primarily speak Spanish, but there are also English Creoles, Mayan, and Misumalpan languages.
Bermuda is primarily English, but you'd have no problem getting by with just Portuguese.
In the Carribean islands, theres a diverse variety of languages including Dutch and multiple Spanish Creoles, Papiamento, and some Indian based indigenous languages.
South American is the combination of everyone above, English, Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese, numbers creoles, and many indigenous languages.

I've definitely seen people have full conversations in Spanish, French, Portuguese, Japanese, etc. What makes you think they can't communicate in their native languages?
I drive a truck every day. I could be mute and deaf and very rarely would I have any issue most days. I just drive back and forth, drop and hook, don't even need to go say hi to anyone...just drive, drop and hook, drive, drop and hook, drive, park at home.

The justification for the FMCSA cracking down on non-domiciled licenses is because of 5 accidents out of an average of something like 5,000 per year. That’s 0.1% of all accidents.
“Foreign born” doesn’t mean here illegally or non English-speaking. Almost everyone in the industry has dealt with good and bad drivers in the 18% of foreign born drivers and even more in the 82% that aren’t foreign born drivers.

You're 100% right. But how else are you supposed to make a surplus in this industry? My last check was (Net:$5000) for 3200 miles. I'm not running long miles or until exhaustion; just running long enough to make tricky appointment times.
I don't like being forced to run because I have to meet some arbitrary schedule determined by the government. If I'm tired I sleep, if I'm sick I take time off, if I frankly don't feel like it I don't do it. Not a single day do I have to count numbers in my head nor call a broker apologizing because a flat tire made me late.

I see it all the time is every state I’ve been to. Don’t know why in 22 months I’ve driven a semi in 38 states only but I’ve been to 41 of them and in every state somebody has a DOT number taped to their truck. They’re leased onto a sketchy company that doesn’t apply decals or they tape them on to work for one company and then tape a different one on to work for a different company. Paper log books. They don’t even work for some of them, they’re just trying to get loads for hours 15 through 24 in the same day.
