I swear man

Just got backed into rear trailer to rear trailer. Im parked about 2 feet ahead of the line, so shit like this doesn't happen.
Had to go ask the idiot to please pull forward cuz he sure didn't get out to check and he was just gonna leave our trailers touching all night.
After I told him he back into me and to move forward off my trailer he just mumbled and then moved and then got up to go back into his sleeper.
Didn't get out to check for damage (there wasn't any). Didn't even care.
What the fuck man.

Bro that shit happens all that time. It's not easy to hurt the back of a trailer. I'm usually more annoyed when someone does it hard enough to wake me up.

The new breed of driver. 4 weeks of school, if they're lucky. 4 to 6 weeks with a finish trainer, and then loosed on the unsuspecting public.

I’ve been hit before in truck stops. Each time a sorry and a check it out. Little scuff on an already scuffed up trailer who cares. I just bought my trailer used 2020. It’s ok mechanically but it’s been abused my fock workers and paper rolls trying to bust out the side. I don’t do truck stops unless I have laundry shower or fuel. Do to the rest area or on ramp type industrial in google search. Read the reviews are f the shippers in the area. Some have overnight parking. As long as there is no guard you can park there.
I’m guessing If the trucker got out and looked maybe this wouldn’t have been an issue to Op.

Spot on. Hell, I've bumped into people backing before. You know what I did? I got out to check and make sure nothing happened.
Socketz11@reddit
There wont be any damage if trailers bump ass to ass at a reasonably slow speed. Trailers are designed to bump docks all day long and the deck height of another trailer is a perfect match.
Artistic_Alfalfa_860@reddit
OP is just a cry baby.
xDoomKitty@reddit (OP)
Stay the fuck off my equipment. And if you don't, at least have the common courtesy to get out and check.
Artistic_Alfalfa_860@reddit
Somebody call the wambulance!

Someone with 0 accountability ladies and gentlemen.
Pretend_Ad_8465@reddit
Is whining is the new order in trucking or is it just on Reddit? I swear there is always someone complaining about some really minor random sh1t like we already don't have real problems to worry about smdh! I propose the cry babies lose their CDLs next after the non domiciled folks are dealt with.
xDoomKitty@reddit (OP)
Call it whining all you want. Don't touch my equipment. If you do, at least get out and check and act like you give a fuck.
Over-Hope-3905@reddit
Nah, whining in trucking isn't new. The internet (Reddit) just seems to make it seem more common, I think.
Or, maybe, the younger entitled generations that think everything is owed to them shouldn't become 'truckers'.
I dunno, but I feel your annoyance.
xDoomKitty@reddit (OP)
I've been driving over 10 years. It's not a hard concept to grasp. Don't touch my equipment, and if you do, at least care enough to get out and check.
Solarisdevorak@reddit
Minor or not, it shouldn't happen.
OkSeaworthiness251@reddit
Maybe a little it can be jarring and it could fuck up your hinges. Guys used to all park touching back in the day to make trailer theft next to impossible.
xDoomKitty@reddit (OP)
That's great. My door hinges and handles aren't flush with the bumper and I really would prefer if people didn't touch my equipment at all or use me as a backstop 2 foot past the line into my parking spot.
RevolutionaryDebt365@reddit
Not really. Tire sizes suspension heights and design differences can cause roof lines and door components to be in different places. All things being equal, you could cause damage with a corner if you weren't 100% straight. I doubt you're 100% straight.
Over-Hope-3905@reddit
I doubt any trucker is 100% straight--it gets lonely out there.
hoarder59@reddit
Hence "bumping ass to ass".
Over-Hope-3905@reddit
Hey now, don't kink-shame!
Milk_MAN1963@reddit
I'll remember that when you back into my tanker
Socketz11@reddit
As long as you have a DOT bumper or the extended built in bumper that sticks out below your taillights. Only potential issue for damage is on a bottom hopper thats non-auto, sometimes the crank handle gets bent if they arent tucked properly.
homucifer666@reddit
Driving/parking whilst exhausted is like being drunk.
xDoomKitty@reddit (OP)
But to not even check or care once told about it? Sheesh
Guilty-Tale-6123@reddit
This isn't an excuse, but ten hours isn't a long enough break when you factor in eating and showering.
xDoomKitty@reddit (OP)
Yeah my breaks are usually around 12-15 hrs.
homucifer666@reddit
Yeah, it sucks. Not excusing the behaviour in any way, but I know I've been tired and it's scary how things you could do with ease fully rested become so much more difficult when you're getting sleepy.
Still, he should have at least looked at the potential damage. I know I would have. On the plus side, he didn't try to start a fight about it. Been there too.
xDoomKitty@reddit (OP)
It's just bizarre. But ill take getting him off my trailer with no damage and not getting myself beat up as a win.
Living-Worry-3190@reddit
I let my shit roll backwards with double pups tired as fuck. took a nap right there
Weird-Breakfast-7259@reddit
No pics? Ohkay Dohkay
xDoomKitty@reddit (OP)
No damage, no pics
LadyTrucker23@reddit
Back in the day, we were taught to bump our trailer against another trailer to keep people out of them.
xDoomKitty@reddit (OP)
You can be close enough to accomplish that without the need to touch.
MegaDuck71@reddit
I am a dock. I get backed into all day long.
twistedfister1990@reddit
Look up docking
MegaDuck71@reddit
Aye aye, mate!
Snoringhounddog@reddit
You're not wrong, but trailers are designed to bump things. One of the finer points of trucking is knowing when to turn a blind eye.
No_Inflation7432@reddit
I had similar thing happen to me. Schneider driver.... I was trying to park in a full lot. He was in my space 12 ft. He got pissed I asked him to move because he was sleeping.
