I am not a big fan of Pakistan even though I know great people from there but I think it's time to end taliban and I support Pakistan if they go for it.

The thing is, taliban are now divided in many factions, and one of them is controlled by india, i believe, other faction is sympathize toward Pakistan, they also have isis lovers in there as well so its just a mess created by CIA and entirety of the west and will not go away until west decides that they don't need these people anymore.
Pakistan, my good guess is attacking Afghanistan for bagram air base for USA.
BendicantMias@reddit
They aren't. They just favor friendlier ties with India.
Neither can they take hold of that base, nor does anyone want them to. Pakistani ties to the USA are nothing compared to their ties to China, and China would never approve of that as the main reason the US wants it is to use it against China.

I am speaking of tehreek taliban Pakistan and some other factions that are active in balochistan, which are considered terrorists and have ties with India. Also, one of them have indirect help from israel mossad. Afghanistan being on friendly terms with India is a very well-known tactic as enemy of my enemy BS.
All three countries are absolutely pathetic fighting with each other's to get love from Western colonizers. They can be friends and make amazing decisions for the betterment of the region and for their people.
Rest of the things about bagram you said are absolutely on point. China wouldn't want that, but what scares me is that the army of Pakistan and their loyalty to the West. The army is the ruler of Pakistan, not the PM or President etc.

I mean during the US control, India actually invested into the region (not as much as China did ofc) but they helped them build roads, hospitals and one of the most crucial appreciated parts was the promotion of Cricket in the region. It's a thing of pride for them that their team represents Afghans and competes against the best in the world.
Ofc from an external pov it does seem like that but there have been multiple attempts to mend the ties but mending those ties means there wont be a need to invest so heavily into the military which the state of pak which is owned by the army would never let it rest. All the wars in the past have been initiated by one faction and it's only one side who invested so heavily to radicalise and fund terrorists.
HourEast5496@reddit
Yes, I am aware of indian investment in Afghanistan, and that's a good thing. They all need to work together. I hope Afghanistan can learn a thing or two from india about letting women get education but I guess one step at a time.

Couldn't agree more.

Lol, you think Pakistan will succeed at something the US failed at for 30 years ? The Taliban is the will of the Afghan people (whatever we in the west might think of it) . You can't defeat that.
dcdemirarslan@reddit
US never wanted to end taliban lol. They propped them up, it was never the will of the people.
BendicantMias@reddit
They can't. Any attempt to try would backfire spectacularly for them. They have enough trouble controlling their own terroitory, never mind Afghanistan.
dcdemirarslan@reddit
I did not say that Pakistan should rule Afghanistan nor I said they should invade. I said taliban should be taken down and Afghanistan should return to a parliamentary democracy.
BendicantMias@reddit
Pakistan can't do that either. Even the US failed to do it.
At some point it pays to temper one's idealism and pursue more limited goals, which is what Pakistan is doing. Their main goal is just to clamp down on the TTP, or convince the Taliban to do so.

Us planted the taliban, if they wanted em dead they would be dead.
