This is a community interactive Xena REWATCH thread—to encourage those who wish re-watching Xena with other xenites on a weekly basis. And to those who are just joining us, you can still jump in and discuss!
^((I’ll post weekly and follow the episodes chronologically, for those who have time to sneak in some Xena, and those who (probably) don’t.))
This week from Oct 17 until Oct 22, we will watch 4 episodes this week:
If anyone wants me to increase the amounts of episodes for rewatch purposes, let me know. It seems like only a few rewatchers are still following the post.
- The Bitter Suite (season 3, episode 12) - As Xena sought out Gabrielle to act out her bitter vengeance, they were transported into the world of Illusia, forced to resolve their unspoken confliction.
- One Against An Army (season 3, episode 13) - Xena interrupt an invasion of the Persian army attacking Greece, as she fend for Gabrielle's life and fought the entire infantry alone.
- Forgiven (season 3, episode 14) - They met a kid name Tara who fought Gabrielle in hopes of replacing her as the new travel companion of Xena.
- King Con (season 3, episode 15) - Joxer was conned out of the money he won from the corrupt town's casino, who placed a bounty on his head; Xena and Gabrielle team up with the same con-men to un-con Joxer's debt!
Might be the best combination of episodes this week!
For those asking: Where can I watch Xena Warrior Princess and Hercules the Legendary Journey?
In the US, it is available on Amazon, Prime. It is also on Apple TV. You can purchase season 1 to season 6 on Youtube and Fandago. It is also streaming live on Roku Channel (for free)!!
For the viewers in Greece, you can watch the entire Xena Warrior Princess in Greek dubbed/subtitled on Xena Greece Youtube Channel (only available in Greece regionally).
For anyone who wish to buy the complete series to finally watch Xena (not sure how to find dubbings in other languages), you should purchase the full Anchor Bay DVD sets on eBay.
And for everyone outside of these region, where Xena is completely unavailable to find, make sure you download adblockers to access certain streaming sites. You may look through this reddit post, AND xenagabrielle.com is now available; but please remember to use AD-BLOCKERS for safety!!

OAA is a fantastic episode, definitely one of the best in the series I would say. I appreciate Gabrielle and her willingness to do the right thing.
About Forgiven, I hate Tara. I hate her so much. How did we get her for TWO episodes when we could have more Aphrodite?
IseQween@reddit
Funny, I've always found punk teens easier to deal with and less obnoxious than the "see how cute I am" princess types. Why do you hate Tara so? More because you feel her character is a waste of air time, or dislike of the character? Both?
EBJ1990@reddit
Both honestly. She’s introduced by beating the crap out of Gabrielle and Xena is just unbothered. Like really? You’re not concerned that an annoying teenager beat up your best friend? She’s just A waste of space and they don’t do enough to justify two whole episodes. Just kill them and give them to Aphrodite.

LOL! Understood.

BS: loved the ambitiousness, Lucy singing (especially the "forgive me" at the end, the use of Callisto, Joxer and Ares.
OAAA: Can't imagine any gushing I might do that would be much different than 99.9% of other fans.
FORGIVEN: Apparently I'm among the few who enjoyed this ep. I especially like the X&G role reversal Tara inspired, as well as Xena referring to Gabs as her moral guide. I used "You are what you do" as my motto way back when I created my profile for <> AOL. I get misty eyed at the end, as I thought self-forgiveness "is not for me" would be always be true for Xena.
KC: I liked the WP going to bat for Joxer and was entertained by the convoluted silliness of her plan. I found the con-within-the con between her and Rafe interesting, that he was a different kind of "bad boy" challenge for Xena.

The actor who played Rafe played Howard in Better Call Saul. I was shocked when I watched the Xena episode again and realized it was him.

I usually watch Hercules Armageddon Now Parts 1 and 2 immediately after Maternal Instincts and before The Bitter Suite because AN takes place immediately after the funeral scene in Maternal Instincts, when Hope's ashes drift upwards and then coalesce on Hercules show. It also always made me think that Gabrielle's hallucinations in the sweat hut in the Bitter Suite were actually Callisto there, in person, tormenting her, but I digress.
BS was the episode I think most Xena fans were really looking forward to - the culmination of The Rift. Xena, Ares and Joxer could really sing, and there was so much more to it with all the symbology of the Tarot. I listened to the cd heaps. It was very theatrical.
OAAA also amazing and sucked me right in starting with a typical day in the life type scene with Gabrielle and Xena, before BAM - all the rest.
I hated Tara - she was so annoying, but the message of Forgiven highlighted to me that Xena would never, ever forgive herself and despite what she said in OAAA, would never ever stop trying to do things to redeem herself. One of the interesting parts of Forgiven was where Gabrielle said that she sleeps next to Xena - that old jealousy thing rearing its head again.
King Con? I didn't mind it. Although it was very brutal to Joxer, it really showed how much Xena cared for him, as a friend, remembering it was only three episodes ago she was almost ready to kill Joxer for protecting Gabrielle against her murderous rage. What a turnaround the Bitter Suite made!
