WeylandTank@reddit
What I don’t understand with these guys, is the fact that they’re likely significantly limiting the roads they can drive on. Wtf does he do when highways are redirecting traffic due to a major accident?
Quynn_Stormcloud@reddit
Camp out.
Consent-Forms@reddit
This guy is single.
rugerscout308@reddit
Does he actually tow anything? Or is this more of just an RV. Its very cool
Bagzthehoney@reddit
This man can stay on the road for 40 days and 40 night with them gas tanks
SASSIESASSQUATCH@reddit
I wanna see inside one of these
Sfarcolacul987@reddit
This is the guy that only carries 20 foot containers
redditthrowaway663@reddit
20 foot nothing. He's on 10'
Sfarcolacul987@reddit
I think the truck weighs more than the cargo
Salt_Bus2528@reddit
What is that, like 1250 gallons of fuel?
LordRaven74@reddit
More than likely, only 2 of the 4 tanks are for fuel. The others are probably fresh water.
Bubbledood@reddit
I like to think one of them is for nacho cheese
LordRaven74@reddit
I like the way you think. Perhaps there's a divider in the center so, half nacho cheese, the other half is chili sauce.
UndeadZaroc@reddit
Two of those tanks are for fresh and grey water
Salt_Bus2528@reddit
Thanks! That makes a lot of sense now! I'm just not used to seeing piss jugs that don't have drink labels on them 😅
UndeadZaroc@reddit
😂😂😂😂
Born-Lie8688@reddit
Isn’t he delivering fuel in those tanks?
LT-buttnaked@reddit
He definitely need his hazmat endorsement
redditthrowaway663@reddit
The truck weighs more than the trailer, container, AND the cargo.
hbwnot@reddit
Looks like an Aussie road train locomotive, 1,800 miles between fill ups.
Pootis_1@reddit
We don't really get cabs like that in Australia. Road trains have overall length limits so a cab like that would massively cut into payload capacity.
Retireegeorge@reddit
Out in those really remote areas we run emu teams. Historically we had camel trains run by early immigrants from Afghanistan. But the native animals are better able to find water and 'bush tucker' that can sustain their low calorific needs. Today's emu teams are surprisingly strong because they have good grip and torque from their uniquely constructed leg and hip physiology. They tried gearing up camels and found it less successful. (Some people might wonder about horses - they just don't cope with the 'energy economics' of carrying water in hot weather over large distances between water sources. ) In recent years people have experimented with using additives to maximise the emu's output. But if they aren't running, they make the teams much too jumpy.
Immediate_Regular@reddit
Nice to see both side of a war working together once the conflict has been resolved.
Retireegeorge@reddit
Ironically it was a third party - aboriginal rangers - that recognised their people would (as usual) be the ones that suffered and negotiated for nesting reserves and then supervised early teamwork efforts such as the Carting Contracts during WW2.
These days we have chicks studying in the cities and most Australian primary (grade) school children do a project on the war and how it affected families on both sides. Out in the bush, at mine sites, running along fences etc the guys all just get along and have a beer together after work and the older guys and older emu's come down hard on trouble makers because of how much it costs them if work stops.
I know a guy who got the sack for making a machine gun gesture at two emus that were just chilling at their nest. And the police arrest immature emus for 'hissing and kicking' all the time. H&K can result in zoo time. If they get parole and snatch a single sandwich - even if a kookaburra already grabbed a sausage - they go straight back in.
The Australian environment is just too tough a place for any energy to be wasted being a dickhead so we must own the past, but respect one another now and never stop working together for our children and chicks and their children and chicks.
MountainAsh2493@reddit
I was gonna say. How long are you away from society that you need an entire apartment on your rig?
ptk77@reddit
Bet he has a fun time with railroad tracks.
randomlemon9192@reddit
Safe to say those are probably avoided at all costs.
heroxoot@reddit
I could never. I've had to back into some tight spaces regularly and I cannot imagine a 53ft on this.
EuropeanguyinUS@reddit
What do you even haul with this?
Ornery_Ads@reddit
I know someone with one of these (not this big though). He does exclusively boats up and down the East coast. He's already os with multiple escorts, so maneuverability doesn't matter and getting ow permits is just a trivial add on.
thomasismyname_@reddit (OP)
homie had what looked like a 48ft flatbed. he's probably really into loooong haul trucking.
dd961984@reddit
Wouldn't be hard to be away from home all the time when you can literally have home a few feet....or 20 away
copper_wing@reddit
They even get a log exemption because they're exactly 0 miles from their company address
skeletons_asshole@reddit
That makes more sense. I bet he has some dedicated contracts or something.
Complete_Tip_1868@reddit
Bout a metric ton worth of diesel with four tanks that size, probably
Individual-Dark-5022@reddit
On a sidenote, I would love to get some input from my fellow trucker brothers. What kind of freight can I haul if I was ever interested in buying something like this like a sleeper legacy and second question is where do these guys sleep or do their to not reset cause I always wanted to buy one of these things, but I was curious to know what kind of freight what I need to haul and where would I sleep at night?
trakr24@reddit
Most of the time, its something highly specialized and not super heavy but they dont want some fuck ass hotshot breaking it.
Usually jet engines, specialized machinery, medical equipment. Need good connections to run something like that. Also usually is a couple who team drive.
shrek12349@reddit
You’ll want to haul anything that pays well if you have a $3m rig😭 but I’d love to have one of these as well
Individual-Dark-5022@reddit
I want the regular legacy sleeper this one seems fake or very exaggerated tbh.
collettdd@reddit
These are typically used to transport cars for races
shrek12349@reddit
I’d think I’m dying if I saw this in PA😂
ShoebillJoe@reddit
This kind of shit is for sleeping on the side of the highway in Australia with six forty foot containers behind you.
wasteoffire@reddit
Panoramic photo? You couldn't turn your phone sideways?
Antinator_succ@reddit
Don't worry they only drive in straight lines
Sfarcolacul987@reddit
Can it even go on a scale, cause can’t see him slide the tandems lol
Impressive-Menu8966@reddit
Are his glasses also binoculars?
backbiter0723@reddit
How would you ever get this thing anywhere? Where would you park with a trailer attached? I have so many questions about rigs like this.
ltrain_00@reddit
Good lord how much fuel does this thing hold? That tank looks massive to me.
No_Inflation7432@reddit
I can't even imagine trying to put that thing on a dock
bealiobealio@reddit
I big is your piss jug?
Massive_Elephant2314@reddit
That motherfucker has a full soaker tub in the bathroom, what piss hug?
bealiobealio@reddit
Yeah I know lol
Euphoric-Cow9719@reddit
Lol😂 the other guy has no idea.
bontk@reddit
Poverty Wagon
Lovicionez@reddit
dude gets 4th gear at TA with a single fuel up
IBringTheHeat2@reddit
He should tow a yard dog truck with him to be able to back up trailers at receivers
Fluid-Philosopher112@reddit
Exactly. How would you get that thing into a dock??
MissYouDesertRat@reddit
This is doesnt do loads that involve docks.
Advanced-Sherbert-29@reddit
What kind of loads does he do?
MissYouDesertRat@reddit
Look up "white glove moving" which is what a lot the apartments on wheels do.
They also do Conventions, Outdoor Events (where the trailer unfolds into a stage) Luxury Single Unit Car Hauling, Race Car Hauling, anything to do with sports.
WideAd2738@reddit
With no one watching otherwise he’ll never make it
Individual-Dark-5022@reddit
Lmaoo
theboywthagreenscarf@reddit
He’s not backing into docks.
Yeet_PC@reddit
U-Turn Radius: Theoretical
United_News3779@reddit
Not even theoretical, it's still a hypothesis lol
rawfuelinjection@reddit
It's not a rocket science! He's got little hydraulic wheels in the front and rear of the truck that can extend, lift up and spin entire truck 360° on the spot. /s
Source: My Matchbox truck did the same 40 years ago
Pancernywiatrak@reddit
What would you even haul in this?
xflyinjx61x@reddit
What's the turning radius on that thing?
...eventually.
2dollahollaballa@reddit
Turning radius... eventually
meat_lord@reddit
... Is that two 100 gallon tanks end to end?
FloppyTacoflaps@reddit
Those are 700+ gallon tanks each. Enough fuel it would need dg placards. Fucking dumb as shit.
Salt_Bus2528@reddit
Dude the 100 gallons are way smaller than one of those things. Each of those units looks like 200 gal minimum
FloppyTacoflaps@reddit
He is always parked at a ta doesn't seem to do much. Truck is fucking dumb lol
ratzm@reddit
Has a Uhaul trailer out back
skeletons_asshole@reddit
Length aside, I always wonder how these guys deal with the weight? They must be pulling some sort of specialized light freight
KitteyGirl2836@reddit
He's taking the looooooooooooong way around
Unique_Arm435@reddit
Good Lord!!
Remarkable_Film_1911@reddit
Truck arrives today. Trailer arriving 3-5 business days.
derpmcturd@reddit
Imagine being in a car and seeing a house pass you by
TheRonsterWithin@reddit
Dang you could fit a lot lizard in there
saywha1againmthrfckr@reddit
I wonder what roundabouts are like in this
DanEpiCa@reddit
I'd say bumpy.
Manufactured-Aggro@reddit
Ohhh so same as the school zones in my '97 Mitsubishi gallant, weird!
Dante123113@reddit
... wait I genuinely thought this was the American Truck Simulator subreddit for a solid 30 seconds That is ludicrously long 🤣
thegoon86@reddit
This is the guy that has UFO lighting on the back of the trailer
Im-PhilMoreJenkins@reddit
Running under Mercer? Thats pretty cool. Probably does some highly specialized stuff like those Southern Pride guys
Retireegeorge@reddit
This could be AI right?
thomasismyname_@reddit (OP)
it's real. i took the photo today at the petro in north vegas. i did a double take and was like god damn that belongs on reddit.
Individual-Dark-5022@reddit
Oh this shit real ? Wow that’s crazy I never seen a legacy this big before u lucky bastard to witness this unicorn. Where was this
Retireegeorge@reddit
It's a compliment I think that you spotted something so far beyond normal!!
dontdoxmebro2@reddit
Can’t even imagine finding parking for this thing.
hambutbacon@reddit
How much does it cost to fill those tanks from empty?
dontdoxmebro2@reddit
He just hails a flyers tanker down on the side of the road. He’s only at the petro for coffee.
Isopod_Gaming@reddit
Cartoonishly long
BlueRibbonChicken@reddit
doug dimmadome’s truck 🤠 bet the inside is nicer than some homes though lol
this_underscore@reddit
You weigh the same as a 53 foot trailer 😅
TomatilloSevere@reddit
That’s Jake
Retireegeorge@reddit
And yet in the country where we have road trains we aren't allowed sleepers half this size :(
cleevethagreat@reddit
Imagine waiting for this guy at the fuel island…just to find out the pumps out after lol
kali4niakid@reddit
What does he need that for? Orgies?
TransportationSea714@reddit
How does it turn. I thought long nose pitsa had a bad turning radius.
BronzeskinWoolyhair@reddit
he needs two spots at a truck stop one for the trailer and one for himself
e0240@reddit
Dude fuels once a month.
Miserable_Quail_5780@reddit
When you register this, is it a mobile home?
CannibalAnus@reddit
Why have a house and truck payment when you can do both at once 😏
