65 mph dirt roads

So, you highway princesses might be shocked to know that sometimes you have to drive far out on well maintained dirt roads when you're in the middle of nowhere going to a customer. Just take a signed 65mph dirt road in Montana.
Now, no one was coming. And no one was certainly behind me. This road probably sees less than fifty vehicles a day. And the one I did cross paths with we just both slowed down and passed at about 10mph. Not like it was a surprise. I saw him probably five miles away due to his own dust plume.
When you've got thirty miles down a straight dirt road signed at 65mph. You do 65mph. Was smoother them most paved roads. Just a nice little dust plume I had to capture.

Gonna have to forgive me if I elect to do 25-35 on the dirt. I tend to weigh 90k+ when I have to leave the hardball

Don't let a washed out cattle guard sneak up on you...bye bye motor mount lol

Been on this road a few times now. First time I was only doing about 30. They also grade it with a road grader every couple of weeks. Guess that's just cheaper than ever paving it.

It's a double edged sword...it's nice to have it graded, but that also brings all the debris to the top haha. Can't tell you how many bolt, nails and snow chain tools have wound up in my tires on those fresh graded roads π

This road might get a few dozen cars a day. I doubt they're all spreading debris and shrapnel from falling apart driving down the road.

I fear nothing but those cattle guards on dirt roads in the Midwest and maybe washboard hills when itβs absolutely pouring because no one else can drive.

Kicking up that dust.

Nice, I love these kinda roads. No traffic or cops, you can basically drive however you want.

Yep. About a 30 foot wide diet road. Regularly graded. And just drive down the center until you see someone coming. 30 miles. One car. Very nice.
