The Bomb Factory Venue

Hello! I am going to the Waterparks show in The Bomb Factory in early November. It’s a six hour drive from my hometown, and we are pretty rural. I’m wondering what parking is like and what would be the best time to get there for decent parking? The driver isn’t used to Dallas levels of traffic nor are we familiar with the area. Any concerns we should watch out for when going to/leaving the venue? Certain areas with better/cheaper parking? Any information at all would be beneficial!! Thanks!!

I like to get there early, get an easy parking spot, and have dinner at a restaurant around. You can chill and then wander over when you’re ready.

yeah parking in deep ellum is always a bit of a mission, especially on a show night. there are a bunch of paid lots and garages scattered around but the ones closest to the venue can get kinda pricey and they fill up fast. sometimes you can get lucky with street parking if you show up super early and are willing to walk a bit. you might find a cheaper spot on someone's driveway in deep ellum on prked too.

Would you consider the area “safe” enough to park earlier in the day and walk around and explore for a few hours before getting in line? I know someone around the Dallas area and they suggested parking somewhere 2-3 hours earlier and “stay in the car with it locked” and I wasn’t sure if the last part was a joke, so I was kind of worried it may be a particularly dangerous area? As mentioned I’m only used to rural areas so I am entirely unsure what to expect regarding possible danger lol

You’ll have no problems during the day. It’s a walkable area with lots of restaurants and shops.
You’ll get a lot of fearmongering about the dangers of Deep Ellum. They are way overblown.
Park at the garage by the venue, go grab dinner and drinks, then enjoy the show. You’ll be fine.
Ruins has good cocktails. Freeman has NOLA style fare and music. Angry Dog is a longtime classic.
Have fun! It’s gonna be a good time.

If you’re staying at a hotel I would just Uber it. This way you can all enjoy the trip without any added anxiety.

Some dart rail stations have parking and the venue is a 10m walk from deep ellum station. Not sure how late service runs, but you could also uber back to where you parked. rail system map: https://dartorgcmsblob.dart.org/prod/docs/default-source/marketing/railstationdocuments/dartrailsystemmap.pdf?t=638962428843908714

There’s a parking garage right next door to the venue. If that’s full then directly down the street under the highway.
I hate deep ellum, but it’s a lot better with the garage being there. The later it is in busier the area will get.
Me personally… I’d rather be early and wait around. But that’s just me.

To add on to this, Bomb Factory sometimes sells prepaid parking in the garage where you bought your tix, so might be worth looking into to guarantee yourself a spot.
