Do you think Callisto would had gone after Xena if Greece hadn't begun to celebrate Xena as a hero?

Around the time Callisto poisoned Xena in The Greater Good, Gabrielle had begun telling stories of her adventures with Xena and became her advocate as a hero and protector of the Innocent, do you think Callisto would had gone after Xena if Greece wasn't celebrating her family's murderer?

Yes, Callisto definitely would go after Xena. Even if she seen as a hero now.

She probably still would go after Xena but she wouldn't waste so much time destroying her reputation like she did in S1

I think Callisto wouldve used a much different approach to things had Xena not had a massive paradigm shift. Trying to start by damaging the reputation of “the good Xena”, as she calls her, was a great show of her obsession and cunning.

She was training to face off with Xena her entire life. Most likely she found the hero thing cute, just a newfound weakness to be taken advantage of.

Yes. She was unhinged, not thinking rationally. Whether the world knew her reform or not, her intention was to humiliate Xena. Draco did the same in the premiere, raiding with Xena's banner while she was trying to convince her hometown she had reformed.

Callisto gave no fucks about the opinions of Greece, it was a personal vendetta for her.

Yes.

Yes. I think the Xena hero thing only made Callisto more determined.
