Finding an apartment in Irving or on a transit line going to Irving

I’m moving to Irving soon for a new job and won’t have a car for the first couple of months. I’m looking for a shared apartment but want to avoid getting scammed since I might not be able to check the place out in person before moving.
Any tips on good areas or apartments to look at? Also, if you know any reliable forums or websites for finding shared housing, that’d be super helpful!

It’s going to be fairly difficult to get around DFW without a car unless you map out DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) our public transportation. Irving has a few stations and there are several surrounding cities that have apts right off DART as well.

I did this. I have a car and it mostly just collects dust now. It's not only doable, but rewarding and fairly easy with a bit of intentionality.

Where will your job be located? The Orange DART line runs out to Irving, and the city is crossed with bus lines, so you’ll want to line up your commute with one of those two options.
If you’re interested, I’m a realtor and apartment locator who can help you with your search. The apartments and homes that I have access to are pre-vetted, and I can preview apartments for you ahead of your move. My help is 100% free! Shoot me a DM with some more details about what you’re looking for and I can give you a better idea of where to look.
