Desperate for apartment help

HELP!! I am on the hunt for a 1 bedroom under $1600/mo in Dallas with little to no reviews featuring roaches. I’m currently living in an apartment that I’ve been in for a year and a half, and due to management not caring for hallways properly, other tenants being filthy, my spotless apartment has a roach infestation. I am living in fear!! Trying to get out of my current lease ASAP (ends in January) because my skin is crawling while I’m in here.
I could care less about how updated the interiors are (obviously updated interiors are going to be a plus), as long as the community is well maintained and other residents are respectful and clean!!
I am using an apartment locator right now and the properties look great until I read reviews, which all feature roach infestations, theft, etc. I know I have to expect a small degree of this in any apartment in the city but I cannot do the roaches again so I am trying to minimize my risk.
If you love your apartment community and they have units for under $1600/mo (studios are ok too!) and you have never seen a roach or heard a peep of one, please drop the name in the comments.
Sincerely, a broken woman just trying to get a nights sleep without fear of bugs crawling on her.

Copper Chase in Arlington has one bedrooms for a little less than $1600 and it comes with a covered parking spot, two bedrooms and attached garage. No issues with roaches here, they're really good about taking care of any issues quickly.

We lived in Larkin in Mckinney. They just did a whole rebrand and bought over the apartments from another management company. Every unit got renovated. We lived on the 3rd floor in a renovated unit 2bedroom $1550 last year. All the units around us had pets and kids too. Occasionally a waterbug would crawl through the front door but that’s about it

Magnolia on Zang, it can be hard to get a unit here due to the community being small and turnover being low but I’ve lived here 4 years and never seen a roach in my apartment or any other critters for that matter outside of the rogue ant trail that is remedied by some raid spray. The hallways and stairwells are maintained well and the dumpster is outside the gate of the property.

At your price point, you should be able to find a newer property. I always recommend going with the newest construction possible for the best critter avoidance. Make sure they are sending you ALL properties too and not just the ones paying commissions. ;)

You may want to consider renting space within a private residence. It would be a whole lot cheaper too. You can find most listings on Pad Mapper, Hot Pads, Zillow rentals, Trulia rentals, etc.
I will never live in an apartment again after renting a space in a residential home. Alot of times you may have the whole house and property to yourself if the homeowners travel for business or pleasure. It's easier and cheaper to have pets if you already have or want pets. I think it's much safer also.
It's difficult to find apartments that don't have pests of some sort, especially in Dallas.

It only takes one neighbor who hosts cockroaches for it to become a never-ending battle for the others.

The last apt I stayed at had them….and then one day down comes Godzilla (house lizard) from the chimney and starts feeding!!! Within days, the cockroaches have vanished! Not a trace! (Except for those on off wings here and there)

Trend design distric. No big issues and management is quick to resolve anything.

It may be worth finding a place that has fewer neighbors - fewer neighbors means less chances for them to bring pests to the building, and you can also hire your own pest control for your unit to be double sure that its being completed. There are a handful of duplex, triplex, quadplexes scattered throughout Bishop Arts and Old East Dallas available in your budget. If you'd like, I can share them.

MAA Addison Circle. Technically in Addison but it is not a bad drive to Dallas proper - honestly the best bang for your buck I’ve seen when it comes to one and two bedroom options.

I stayed at The Langford at trinity grove before . No roaches here but management could be better.
