Not super familiar with the Dallas area but I'm considering a job offer that's in Plano but I really do not want to live in a boring area like Plano.

I just took an offer at what I assume is your company (logo has red in it?) - I picked to live halfway between Plano and uptown in Addison. Toured Cortland, MAA, and Allegro. Allegro best by far.

if it's 5 days in office, i'd STRONGLY recommend taking a different job. i commute from uptown/knox to plano everyday and it is soul crushing. and plano is boring.

Actually the Legacy area of Plano is one of the more fun areas in the North Dallas suburbs

All going to depend on your budget and your appetite for a commute. Share some more detail and we may be able to help

The job pays 95k so i have a decent budget and i dont mind commuting up to an hour

Couple of options then. The typical landing spot for new grads in Dallas is The Village, which is north of Lower Greenville by Northpark Mall. It's not very urban, but there is a strong new grad community there, and its a short drive to Lower Greenville.
Second is living in Lower Greenville. It's walkable, lots to do, good nightlife, but will increase your commute. I would put your commute around 45 minutes most days.
Next would be Knox Henderson and Uptown. Here is more upmarket, more diverse, and more urban. Prices are higher but the area is one of the most desirable in Dallas. Commute will be close to an hour.
Last option would be living in downtown Plano. There's a few blocks of walkability, some newer apartments, but other than that, much sleepier than the other options.
If you have any other questions, feel free to DM me. I'm an apartment locator and help folks make the move all the time. Happy to share more insight - my help is always free.

Plano is huge. Where in Plano is your work? If it’s near the legacy/121 area, there are a decent amount of people in their 20s in the apartments in that area who work at JPM, Toyota, USAA, Liberty Mutual, etc.
