How to learn coding on my own [No degree]

Hey guys, I am really interested in learning how to code, I always wanted to be game developer as a kid but that phase eventually went away and my actual goal became medicine. I am a medical student btw, I am still passionate about medicine more than anything else, the only reason why I want to learn coding is because there is still this flare in me that was there when I was a kid. And no I do not wish to get a job in coding its just something I want to learn. I have no experience in coding what so ever, so if you guys have ajy suggestion like which language to start with if there is like a youtube channel that teaches it, I would really appreciate it, I do believe Harvard have there cs50 class on youtube I am gonna checl that out aswell. Either way drop your wisdom on me and much apprrciate it if you respond.

Unity has good beginner friendly tutorial projects. C# is the language. Unreal uses C++ but hard to find tutorials on YT. Good luck

If you happen to like evolutionary biology and embryology in your biology studies and see that as a "short cut" (I did/do, others might not) you can always go for learning the lowest level possible in IT directly. To me this is much easier and you can derive all knowledge from it. The game https://nandgame.com will teach you all of it if you play it end-to-end. This is what worked best for me to "learn coding" even though it might seem a short-cut would be better for me it is not.

CS50 is a good starting point, you’ll likely find other resources during that journey.
If you want to feel like you’re actually partaking in the course, then sign up for a CS50 course for free on EDX, just ignore the message about buying a certified certificate
