Would you build a drying shed?

We're considering getting a dryer, but for a similar amount of money using materials I already have plus some purchased I could build a drying shed. https://imgur.com/a/OInO3em The biggest concern is that on cold damp days, even with a breeze clothes might not actually dry properly. It seems an environmentally friendly option, and providing I keep within height limits would fall under permitted development as it's no different to a shed.

I feel like this would be terrible in a cold damp winter. If drying outside in the colder months it'll take forever unless there's a good breeze hitting the laundry. Plus spiders/birds/mice/etc would love getting in there. A dryer would be a lot more convenient I think. I don't want them in my house taking up space. I have MVHR so it's not about humidity control, it's not wanting the room looking like a launderette.

No, because I've got room inside for two clothes airers, and that works perfectly. I have often wondered why someone doesn't sell a whirligig/outdoor rotary clothes line with an integrated umbrella. You can get incredibly elaborate parasols for your patio - why not a simple one for your whirligig so you can put your washing out even when there's a risk of rain?
