So it was never in the running Usually enjoyment of a Toffee Crisp was shared by one company to another, almost like a communion. Then only via word of mouth has the bar remained in circulation. However in 1999-2012 it was widely thought to be discontinued despite still being stocked in newsagents and supermarkets_

I think I may have been eating more toffee crisps than anyone in Britain when I was in school. They were 25p and I used to buy 4 for my lunch every day for about a year. Man thinking back I've always been a bit of a weird eater. Like I'd obsess over one thing and eat it for months on end. I done the same with frosties. I'd have Frosties for breakfast, go home for lunch and have Frosties, finish school and have Frosties, then not eat my actual evening meal and just have Frosties instead. Then for supper, you guessed it more Frosties.

I know things have gone downhill since I was a kid. But I had a toffee crisp not long back and it was not what I remembered it to be. I am sure it used to be fairly tall. Like about an inch of crisp with a thick layer of toffee on it. This modern one was like it had been on a diet and was about 1cm tall all together. like 2 rice crispies thick. It was free and I still felt ripped off.

When I was much younger, the Toffee Crisp was always cheaper than all of the other chocolate bars. Perhaps it is cheaper to make, but eventually they cottoned on and it became the same price as all the other chocolate bars.

I must admit I'd never had one until at work they started buying the chocolate bar packs (of like 90 bars) which included toffee crisp and one day about 6 hours into a meeting I thought 'why not' and agree, they are awesome!
