Lucky bastard
tetronom@reddit
with a proper technique and body mass you can probably shoulder/hip fire .50 cals as if they're securely mounted in an emplacement
ZETH_27@reddit
Definitely depends on the rifle. Something with good recoil like the Barett, probably, at least a few rounds.
However a weapon like the Hecate, Or even worse, Zastava, are going to absolutely kill your shoulder if you shoot them standing for more than one round.
Vodnik-Dubs@reddit
Seen people do standing/walking fire with a PTRS41 too. semi auto is definitely gonna be easier than the bolt guns you mentioned though.
UnfriskyDingo@reddit
I certainly couldn't lol
keizaigakusha@reddit
There are photos of Russian troops carrying a 50 hmg and shooting it semi while walking while getting into another position.
Gun_Nut_42@reddit
Could be the Kord. It is notionally "man portable."
Or some mad lad could be lugging around a DShK or NSVT.
walt-and-co@reddit
Interesting that he has basically adopted a ‘free rifle’/3P style target stance, with the elbow tucked against the hip and a flat palm
ShiftyLookinCow7@reddit
People talk shit but it works
Sesemebun@reddit
Who talks shit? Only bad thing about it is I’m an inflexible MF and it’s kinda uncomfortable
walt-and-co@reddit
Oh, absolutely. Not bashing at all, and I like experimenting in ways like this to develop my shooting technique too. Just funny to see, to my eye at least!
OkRush9563@reddit
Yep. I don't care if it looks goofy, if it works, it works.
Onebraintwoheads@reddit
I hadn't noticed the support arm. Thanks for pointing it out. I suppose solid cans are more useful for this kind of shooting than bagged belts.
TacTurtle@reddit
He is using his support hand to transfer the recoil directly to his hips to better absorb the recoil.
Onebraintwoheads@reddit
Sigh The only fully-automatic longarm I've ever wsnted to own is a PKM, even if I had to keep it in a gun safe at the shooting range, or whatever other rules they want to impose. I just love 7.62x54mmR, and thought it would be an incredible round for an LMG.
This just makes it more awesome.
HerrGronbar@reddit
Yes you can do it for 5 minutes but good luck doing that whole day.

New meaning to " the base"
davewave3283@reddit
Very effective technique, assuming the enemy holds still for 12-15 seconds
keizaigakusha@reddit
Now can he do that while moving.
ThetaReactor@reddit
With a Tactical Segway he can!
duckpn3@reddit
Man It would be scary to be at the other end of that thing if he was prone
KEFREN-@reddit
Is that softair or what?? Ahah
Equivalent_Month5806@reddit
I think it's probably real but he may have messed with the gas settings?
If so it's not useful since he's effectively trading recoil for shitty reliability. It does seem to be firing slow for a support weapon which would support that. (Also I do not know this weapon type at all so...).
Vertigo666@reddit
I’ve ran half a belt through one, PKMs are extraordinarily soft shooting guns for being 54r. That’s not to say this is easy, clearly the dude’s practiced it.
Barbarian_Sam@reddit
Not really on the reliability part. There’s 3 gas settings for a reason
WottahMan@reddit
His stance reminds me of the standing competitive rifle stance
Fun-Advertising1694@reddit
I also noticed that, since I do it when my glove is gone
IlluminatedPickle@reddit
Yeah he's doing a modified lean into that stance from the look of it.
IlluminatedPickle@reddit
Al-Solid.
No-Reception8659@reddit
Here's another one.
Jim556a1@reddit
Da fuq?
OnkelMickwald@reddit
He's practiced this stance which works wonders for this specific task it seems. No hate.
FlufferMcStuffins@reddit
What’s on his front foot?
dragon_sack@reddit
The belt falling down
