Moving countries young

I was recently wondering, what country do I truly belong to? I was born in the UK and moved to bangladesh 15 days short of my 7th birthday. Im 17 now and Ive mostly adjusted to bangladeshi culture ( Though I do not adhere completely to this, I find some things very backward) But I do not quite feel like i fully belong here, nor do i feel like i belong there. Neither here nor there and its confusing me. So what country would you say i truly belong to? The country of my birth or the country I moved to at a young age?

I moved away, when I was 21. It was the best decision I ever made. I found peace in the Netherlands, in the heart of Eastern Europe.
Don't be afraid. Just do it 🔥

Neither belonging here nor there is something many people around the world feel. Some embrace it others feel like an alien no matter where they are in the world. I think it’s mainly about mindset.
I’m Swedish but I grew up in South East Asia. Now that I am back in Sweden, I may technically be home but I don’t necessarily feel like it. It’s just another country that I’ve lived in at this point, with the main difference being that I can speak the local language better than any other place I’ve lived. Having said that, I’ll always say that I am Swedish when someone asks where I am from but I can then expand on that with context on why I might not be like other Swedes that they may have met before.
At this point in my life, home for me is where I decide it to be. It could be where my family currently is or it could be the country I live in at the time. Doesn’t matter too much to me.
I don’t know if this helps you at all but this feeling you have most likely won’t disappear just because you move to the UK. You kinda need to just come to a conclusion on what is home for you. Can you possibly be okay with not fully belonging somewhere? Things become a lot easier when you conclude that.

You belong where you are the happiest.
I have lived in four countries starting at a young age and moved abroad on my own at 17 as well.

Agreed 👍🏻

I “belong” to a country I am the most settled in.
The fact that I grew up in different country, or that I speak with an accent, doesn’t change the fact that my home currently is in a country I am currently living and planning on living for the rest of my life. That is all that’s matters

Totally agree 👍🏻

Apply for as many jobs as you can, take anything you can get. Rent a room/half room/couch if you have to. Get out of Bangladesh and go live your best life in Britain.

I mean for as long as you share dual citizenship, you belong to both

You’re mixed.
Have a similar situation.
I’d also say tbh if you want to choose one choose the one you want to be associated with regardless of others pov.
