I would be interested in hearing your stories or thoughts on these cruises.

I went on the second one. It was the koolest thing ever! I met nearly every actor on board just by walking around the ship. High fived George Takei. Shook Rene Auberjonois hand and got a Odo pin from him. Shook Lavar Burton’s hand. Rode an elevator with Robert Picardo and had a small conversation with him.
I didn’t actually meet any of the women that were on board but I did see each of them at some point. And again, this was just by walking around. Saw Jeffery Combs more times than I realize I bet. Had a monkey sit on my back and almost steal my hat during an excursion. And so many other awesome memories. It was 100% worth it.

I would like to know more, I have never heard such things existed and I have questions. When were these cruises? Who hosted them? Where did they go? How much did they cost and how long was the trip? How extensive was the back ground check for passengers? How many trek actors were there? What did they do? Just walk around shaking hands? I have never been on a cruise, I have always thought cruises were sketchy because i have heard lots of carnival horror stories.

On the sketchyness of the cruise. I mean, you can hear a hundred horror stories all the time about things but it’s the 1000 other times that you don’t hear about. I think th worst thing that happened on mine was a couple people mighta got sick and so a few actors started not walkin around as much. I said I met and shook Odos hand. But the second time I ran into him he was wearing a mask and handing out pins instead of handshakes.

I had never been on one either. Mine was six er seven years ago. I think it mighta been n February. It was about four days er so. I got a ticket when they went on sale cause it was underbooked at the time. Being th second one it was still relatively unknown. 4-600$ I think. We left outta some port In Texas er Florida. They wanted a birth certificate and ssc and current id. Nothin crazy. A passport was not necessary but recommended. I think Cozumel was one of the two places we stopped but it’s different each time. There were some 15-20 er so actors and affiliated crew members; makeup artists and such.its not always the same people. They did a lot of different things. Nana Visitor did morning yoga a couple times. Dr Crusher taught a class of tap dance. They did a Hollywood squares type thing that was in an auditorium. The typical signings and pictures. My mom got pics with Carl Urban. I got Data’s autograph. They walked around like normal people. That’s how I met most of them. Just luck and always stayed moving. Food is free and always available. Drinks were not if you didn’t buy the wrist band er whatever it was. I don’t drink a lot but I did on th cruise and didn’t break the bank though. You’ll make friends pretty easily. I’m a pretty normal guy and generally likable and met a couple of others that we all moved pretty well and spent most the time with each other.

Not personally but the guy that runs the star trek shop at my local flea market went on one and William Shatner ignored the audience the whole time and flirted with some lady. It was like 10 years ago and hes still mad about it.

Going on a cruise with the Shatner sounds like someone's version of hell. haha!

Better than trying to get him to do voice overs or ad reads. He's a dick when he gets in the audio booth.

Trek fans don't let go of grievances easily. That shit is for life.

Sounds spot on in-character.
