I guess the 3.5% figure is true after all. Good to see that gen Z doesn't accept shitty conditions and corrupt politicians. It's our future and I'm done with billionaires fucking everything up. we deserve an equal future where everyone can live a good life
AsoarDragonfly@reddit
Ye but let's make it way more than that to make sure it fully happens
sarcasmusex@reddit
He got airlifted by France yesterday. So we know who was backing him
Statharas@reddit
It's not necessarily France doing bad things, it's that he probably asked the French for evacuation and they're offering a favor.
Boris2509@reddit
why offer a favor to someone with 0 power? what are they getting out of it? do you genuninly think france gives a single fuck about a country leader they didn't back? the only reason you'd do this is because you feel bad for your guy getting outed
JustACharacterr@reddit
The president was a French national. It’s really not that deep.
Boris2509@reddit
yeah legaly he wasn't even malagasy anymore because you lose your citizenship upon adopting another nationality.
arkiel@reddit
Not necessarily, you can also offer an out to someone so that they don't make an absolute bloodbath of their last days in power.
Boris2509@reddit
has any fleeing president ever done a mass murder campaign when they were already planning on fleeing?
sequeezer@reddit
If they were forced into a corner because nobody bailed him/her out? Yeah probably.
Boris2509@reddit
if they could control the militairy to do such a thing there wouldn't be a need to flee since they'd be safe and still have authority.
arkiel@reddit
The point here is that if you have no chance of fleeing, and feel like you're on death ground, you're much more likely to fight to the bitter end with whatever you have under your control. You might not control the army, or most of it, but you'll still have some loyalists, or people you can pay or promise things to, and that can be enough to trigger unpleasant events.
It can lead to a range of things going from firing on protestors to massacres to full-blown civil war.
If on the other hand, you see that you can still flee before things get uglier and at least end up in relative safety, you might just choose that option.
Not saying with absolute certainty that this is what happened here of course, we don't know, but there are very good reasons to offer someone a way out like that.
LAMonkeyWithAShotgun@reddit
Yes, Laurent Gbagbo on the Ivory coast about 10 years ago is the most recent example I can think of
Statharas@reddit
Interesting. I doubt that happens often enough to justify an evacuation by France. I suspect the request came from him.
historicusXIII@reddit
Yes, and for Assad and Yanukovich it was also just a favour by Russia to take them in.
100000000centipedes@reddit
Wow, another Gen Z protest is spring up totally organically and spontaneously exactly where the US needs to reinforce its geopolitical position vis-a-vis China
JustACharacterr@reddit
It’s fascinating watching people in so many words admit they believe in a type of American supremacy that would make MAGAts blush. What else would you call the position that every single political movement on earth is created or infiltrated and controlled by the American government for its own purposes, and that every single protest movement against a government is just a front for an American agenda?
Genuinely delusional lol.
100000000centipedes@reddit
This “Gen Z” protests in Indonesia and Nepal beat all the hallmarks of US Gov-backed Color Revolutions and so does this, sorry!
SomeDudeYeah27@reddit
Alright I’ll bite, I’m from the region of the countries you mentioned and have friends in Indonesia who aren’t far from the political elites
Could you detail the specifics of who, what and/or how this supposed color revolution is being orchestrated?
I know names and people tied to the IMF & World Bank from their last election, but the only time I ever hear NED mentioned was by MintPressNews regarding one party that barely has any power either. And the detail on how they’re supposedly conspiring together is sparse beyond vague mention of supposed brief financial support
And barely any of these folks have gained any political ground in the last protest either
In fact, the supposed NED affiliated party publicly preemptively condemned any violent escalation into vandalism (they called it “anarchism” due to undisciplined lexicon use), and the main violent actors likely have ties to the domestic military
So please by all means try to bring up examples and evidences, because so far as much as I’m wary if foreign intervention in the region, I don’t see as much of it compared to their last election
100000000centipedes@reddit
We will just see when Nepal and Madagascar get their brand new US military installations
SomeDudeYeah27@reddit
I see you believe that hypothetical correlation is causation, but okay then
Way to twirl around my obvious question of Indonesia and not address it as well
100000000centipedes@reddit
Here
SomeDudeYeah27@reddit
Alright, I’ll take a look when I have time
Thank you for actually giving a reference instead of just regurgitating rhetoric
waddeaf@reddit
Colour revolutions aren't a thing champion.
100000000centipedes@reddit
Not only are they real, but the wrote a book about it, Champion ( 🇮🇳)
Look up Gene Sharpe, Champion
waddeaf@reddit
Conspiracy theorists and grifters have written books on all sorts of shit. That you're stupid enough to believe them doesn't suddenly manifest reality.
100000000centipedes@reddit
Hahahaaha
Look him up, idiot
He is a highly regarded CIA veteran, not a conspiracy theorist, and he writes about the success of non-violent social engineering—aka Color Revolution—versus violent regime change
lol
Idiot
JustACharacterr@reddit
Well if this random person vaguely handwaves at a half dozen different things saying that they seem kinda similar with absolutely no elaboration then it’s case closed, my apologies!
100000000centipedes@reddit
Wait and see, Sukdeep
stonerbobo@reddit
The fact is we have very clear documented evidence of the CIA doing this many many times in the past. It always sounds like an insane conspiracy until proof appears. The things Snowden revealed or the entire fucking Epstein fiasco would 100% be called a batshit crazy conspiracy theory and likely was for decades until all the evidence came out. The smug dismissal isn’t actually a well supported argument.
JustACharacterr@reddit
The idea that foreign nations might try to influence events in other countries isn’t delusional.
Claiming that almost every protest movement in the world is secretly an American plot is delusional. It is especially delusional considering the facts of what President is in charge of the country at the moment, his preferred manner of diplomacy, and his purging of all government agencies even remotely involved in international affairs. In this case specifically, it’s also delusional since the Madagascar president was a French citizen and enjoyed incredibly close ties to France and through them the United States.
Key_Poem9935@reddit
It’s delusional when the president being ousted is literally a western backed and friendly president dummy!
Personal-Web-8365@reddit
Who gives a shit whether this benefits the US. I swear I see tankies doubting the need to bomb Serbia in the 90s these days, they’re willing to side on the objectively bad guys just to stick it up to the Yankees. Get a grip
100000000centipedes@reddit
Hahaha. Totally unprompted
The EU/NATO are teetering the brink of economic and civic collapse and you are still regurgitating that shit
Personal-Web-8365@reddit
Obviously not unprompted at all since ive dealt with you people often enough and actually got you to confirm my suspicions. I dont give a shit how you think how muh west is doing, i primarily care about having my family saved from these bastards back then. But hey, Russias and Chinas demographics are spelling nothing but a glorious and wealthy future right?
Soggy-Flounder-3517@reddit
I bet you cry over the results of ww2
Personal-Web-8365@reddit
What the hell are you talking about? Who is paying you?
Soggy-Flounder-3517@reddit
Ok nazi apologist.
wq1119@reddit
Jesus Christ, and then Tankies wonder why no one takes them seriously outside of their reddit and discord bubbles.
100000000centipedes@reddit
You seriously need to get real
The Ukraine proxy war has been an abject failure for NATO and catastrophic for the Ukrainian people
Meanwhile Europe has deliberately cut itself off from affordable energy, it’s social services are overburdened by mass migrations resulting from their idiotic regime change wars, and their economies—Germany, UK, France, no less—are facing unprecedented economic and political stagnation
wq1119@reddit
No shit, Russia invading Ukraine has been catastrophic for Ukraine and also itself.
100000000centipedes@reddit
The Zelenskyy regime and its puppet-masters could also concede defeat and turn to diplomacy, but there are still Ukranian men left to hunted down, shoved into buses, and hurried to the frontline to become drone footage
MegaJackUniverse@reddit
The Russian regime have repeatedly made it clear that there is no intention to stop the war (the war Putin's regime of oil barron oligarchs and thugs started, remember?). Their play at suggested peace terms included Ukraine permanently neutering itself and Russifying. It would be accepting cultural erasure.
Tell us next time your homeland gets invaded and we'll tell you should accept your attacker's diplomacy terms because yOu HaVe PuPeT-mAsTeRs
100000000centipedes@reddit
As far as I know, Russia’s primary demands were (initially) legal protections for the rights of ethnic Russians, the removal of the ethnonationalist (Nazi-Banderite) Kiev regime, and no NATO entry
But EU and NATO encouraged an antagonistic stance. The final straw was discussion of stationing NATO intermediate range missile batteries on the Black Sea in late 2021
The US would never tolerate Chinese or Russian intermediate range missiles in Mexico or, say, Cuba
Nor would they tolerate being surrounded by members of a hostile military alliance
That is not justify war, but you must understand the rationale or else any further discussion is pointless
Statharas@reddit
Russia wants half of Ukraine, specifically the south to reach Transnistria, and of course to reinstall their puppet, Yanukovich.
wq1119@reddit
Russia has reiterated multiple times that Ukraine is not a real sovereign state and that Ukrainians are just Russians.
Statharas@reddit
Yeah, but they want half of Ukraine to act like a "sovereign state", like Belarus
MegaJackUniverse@reddit
Then you've read maybe half of their talks headlines and that's it. Look, you need to read more up on that shit. Russia have felt NATO to be hostile despite never themselves having territory taken from them bur despite repeatedly takingterritory themselves. The Eastern bloc split relatively diplomatically where countries voluntarily said "fuck this and fuck Russian influence."
Putin has stirred up shit for the decades he's been in power and the lives of Russians has improved a bit but infrastructure sucks despite the enormous oil wealth.
Letting a despot kill tens of thousands of lives is not acceptable or an excuse for wanting a buffer region, taken by force from a country that has explicitly tried to remove itself from Russian influence since the broke away and in the name of peace, gave up their own nuclear weapons.
NATO didn't put permanent missiles on the Black Sea at all. They did an exercise there in 2021. You know. After Russia annexed Crimea in 2014.
wq1119@reddit
I swear Hasbara and Tankies are unable to not come up with the same script.
Samiel_Fronsac@reddit
Bro, there's no point in you arguing with a dude I'm 95% sure it's being paid to say this bullshit. Don't waste time.
wq1119@reddit
Yeah, least unhinged RedScarePod poster lol.

Statharas@reddit
HAHAHAHAHAH HAH THIS DUDE

Get the fuck out of here, go spam on wechat or vk or whatever your flavor of subservience is.
MegaJackUniverse@reddit
In the same way China a d Russia are constantly said to be mi utes from economic collapse, sure buddy
wq1119@reddit
"NATO/Russia/China/America/Israel/Iran/Venezuela are a rotten carcass that will collapse very soon, trust the plan bro" is some of the bullshit that I most hate about modern geopolitical discussion on the internet.
SomeDudeYeah27@reddit
True but also like, every contemporary countries are in a time bomb with how global economies are setup so far
Purchasing real estate is an increasing struggle in most countries
Wage stagnation and shrinking employment opportunities are squeezing people’s economic situation too
Especially as the population keeps growing yet is also faced with the looming total disruption by AI
Virtually everyone’s also indebted to each other to keep the gravy train going
And then there’s the climate crisis risking the most environmentally unstable scenario when it comes to critical infrastructures and living spaces
I think only people who lives subsistently in climately stable enough places would be least affected with the things I mentioned (or rich enough to afford to be unaffected, who are the real issue), and even then that’s not a guarantee on good healthcare either
Snoo27694@reddit
Literally France evacuated the President
What are you talking about
100000000centipedes@reddit
We we will see when it is announced who is building a new naval base in Madagascar
AlashMarch@reddit
Sure, that's totally why the President had a close relation with France and why opposition members accused him of selling his country out to France.
God, you're so arrogant. Imagine thinking that literally everything in the world revolves around America. Its funny that in trying to make America look bad, you're only denying actual third-worlders actual agency and the right to stand up against extreme corruption. Grow up.
wq1119@reddit
Exactly, this is a CIA color revolution psyop to checks note overthrow a French-backed pro-Western regime that the population accused of selling out their nation to French colonialism?, are tankies that brainrotted that they think that anti-Western revolutions are now Western-backed psyops?
Last month I also stumbled upon another guy who said that the successful Bougainville independence movement in Papua New Guinea is another CIA color revolution to.... checks note expel the pro-Western industrialists who destroyed the environment of Bougainville, and forge closer ties to China, thus giving China bigger access to the Pacific....
This is just 4chan /pol/ schizoposting but cloaked in leftist terminology, /u/100000000centipedes these are anti-Western revolutions that increase Chinese and Russian influence my man, I thought that you liked that, is Ibrahim Traore a CIA asset now?
Czart@reddit
Only US/russia/China have agency. Everyone else is just doing their bidding. And since russia and China are good(tm), they would never ever do underhanded things. The logical conclusion therefore is: blame west/USA.
Chinerpeton@reddit
Yes, yes it is spriging up totally organically and spontaneously. Because the people see protests working out in another country and take inspiration from that. The bottled up anger and dissatisfaction with the government explodes when people see a live reminder that there's a way they could make change. That's how protest waves work. Look up Spring of Nations in 1848, the wave of communist uprisings in several European countries in the wake of the October Revolution or Protests of 1968 for other examples besides the Arab Spring.
"exactly where" is an utterly meaningless term to use when this literally applies to most countries in the world. Simply useless.
Gotta love american diabolists literally peddling racist narratives that brown people are incapable of getting angry and rebelling against their regimes on their own and need American directions to do so.
Ok_Art6263@reddit
Live in a third world country once and see how fucking unserious the government is on anything that doesn't have something to do with making the quality of life worse.
waddeaf@reddit
Lmao what is the strategic geopolitical position of checks notes Madagascar.
Mozambique was about to go crazy I'm sure.

There is truly no winning with internet third-worldist LARPers.
This is just White Man's Burden 2.0 - non-Whites do not have an agency or independence of their own, every single event that occurs in their country is always because of the perfidious White man being behind it.
100000000centipedes@reddit
Once you’ve seen a dozen or so Color Revolutions over the course of a couple decades, they all begin to look the same
I suppose I should withhold judgment until I have heard from Madagascar’s photogenic, English-speaking NED-trained “Gen Z” spokesperson
Minimum-Ad-2683@reddit
Might I just say, This is an incredibly stupid take
wq1119@reddit
In your opinion, other than the Russian and Cuban revolutions, has there ever been organic revolutions that are not "color revolutions" sponsored by the eternal perfidious menace of the ~~Illuminati~~ CIA?
100000000centipedes@reddit
All modern revolutions have been driven from above
The masses who think that they are taking part in their own liberation are only signing themselves over to a new regime of masters
gumbo100@reddit
Not everything is about the US. Sometimes things are just convenient for an outside party, do you have any particular reason to think the US is backing this action?
meatloaf-sandwich@reddit
Of course it's the fault of the US. Conspiracy nut
