If God is a Serb, Allah is a Bosnian?

That is my existential doubt.

That is my existential doubt.
Traditional_Pick7797@reddit
Yes because bosniaks are Serb tok
MIMADANMEI@reddit
One person that understands. I am from slovenia and my history teacher is from bosna (hes the best). He said bosanci are all people who live in BIH and bošnjaki are those who converted to islam in "stari vek" time, but they are actually croatians that didnt like catholicism and serbs that hated ortodox church, snd they all concerted to islam because of higher status in ottoman empire
jinawee@reddit
He might be the best, but he's wrong. The only correct part is that they converted because of higher status (and other privileges). It's normal to not know history in the Balkans due to nationalistic propaganda, but I would expect Slovenians to be past that.
Pjeter_Bogdani@reddit
No, the bosnians are its own nationality, not just “muslim serbs”. Before they were muslim, they had their own church, a bosnian church BUT in this church the trinity of jesus was not accepted, hence not getting support from Vatican. And when the ottomans came, the bosnians resonated well with islam, hence the bosniaks became muslim.
MIMADANMEI@reddit
Yeah they had their own church but idk if they were their own nationality
UnitedImplement678@reddit
Bosniaks used to be Croats and Serbs (tho mostly Croats if we're being honest), but that doesn't take away from the fact they are real nation. National identities back then weren't as strong among common people anyways, and with time their regional identity evolved to become national one.
MIMADANMEI@reddit
Never said they werent its own nation, long time all southern slavs were one nation and after that they started to diferenciate into its own nations. All people actually came from one nation long time ago
jinawee@reddit
Completely false. Long time ago the concept of nation didn't exist. Didn't they teach that in class? In History or Literature class?
UnitedImplement678@reddit
Well thats actually opposite of truth, there were even more Slavic tribes before Croats and Serbs arrived and united most of Slavs in western Balkans.
Pjeter_Bogdani@reddit
Just no, all slavs were once together, but abrahamic religion divided yall. /s
CompleteAnimal4606@reddit
What differences are there except religion?
Pjeter_Bogdani@reddit
Upvote, I couldn’t agree more.
2024-2025@reddit
You both are wrong but you’re less wrong than the first guy. The modern definition of ethnicity wasn’t a thing back then. People in Bosnia called themselves Bosnians/Bosniaks way before Islam came. Not Croat not Serb. This was the case of the Catholics in Bosnia also, they were Bosnians, not Croats.
Calling them Croats who didn’t like Catholicism is just what Croat nationalist propaganda says. Calling them Serbs is even more wrong since the big orthodox presence is the result of immigration from the east during ottoman times.
Nice_Magician3014@reddit
So Allah is a Serb?

chrstianelson@reddit
God and Allah is the same thing. Allah is just the name. Islam's God is the same god as Christian God.
Exact_Sea_2501@reddit
That wouldn’t be true because how can the same god give different messages? One is god and the other is a demon.
Pjeter_Bogdani@reddit
Or maybe, just maybe you should stop trusting books which were written 2000 years ago.🤷🏻♂️
Exact_Sea_2501@reddit
Regardless. It’s just logical. If none of the books are true fine. But if they are true, then only one can be true.
Mysterious-Put1459@reddit
Exactly, all Abrahamic religions believe in the same God but each considers the others false since they deviate or even contradict whatever narrative the individual religion has so they must be corruptions.
Emotional_Cut2206@reddit
And trust ones that were written 1400 years ago?
Pjeter_Bogdani@reddit
Gahhdamn bruv, i mean that one too. Or you think Albanians from Kosovo are fundamental islamists?
Emotional_Cut2206@reddit
Ah no, I don't care about that.
I was thinking you were saying "Let's trust Quran which was 1400 years ago, but not Bible which was 2000 years ago" like it makes such a big difference.
Since your point is about something different, I don't know, I hope not?
Whats a fundamental islamism? If they keep the peace part, then yes, I hope so. If they keep the child marriage and bad stuff then I hope not.
Pjeter_Bogdani@reddit
I am saying that, not only in between albanians, but also in the balkans, fundamental religion was a justification for war crimes most of the times to the point that i want them all gone. They make their own cults and feel superior towards other groups of people with a different religion, and it’s not exclusive with islam, orthodoxy or catholicism. I want them all gone.
ShitassAintOverYet@reddit
Islam excuse this as such:
Personally I don't buy this claim and see every Abrahamic religion in the same tier as Ancient Greek or Norse mythologies...regional folklore that can be a fun read.

Serbs are just masculine Slovenians.

There's no such thing as masculine Slovenian

God is God. Abrahamic religion - share the same god - judaism, christianity and islam, difference is in god's word, judsism is vanilla, christianity is first expansion, islsm second expansion. God name is Jahweh. Allah is just arabic word for God -examp. insallah - if God's wills.

Bog (serbian) , God (english) , Allah(arabian) , Gott(german) ,Tann( turkish)

God is Jewish. Perun is, if anything, closest to being a Serb, but he wisely breaks with the modern tradition of deities and doesn't play national favorites.

Tomorr is Albanian.
caesarj12@reddit
Its Perëndi and Prende in Illyrian beliefs I kid you not. Basically the Illyrian version of Zeus and Hera... And now you understand why god is sometimes referred as Perëndia and how the Albanian friday (e Premte) came to be or places named saint Premte (Shen Premte) came to be.
