What are your thoughts on the dutch healthcare system?

For extra info: https://www.oecd.org/content/dam/oecd/en/publications/reports/2023/12/netherlands-country-health-profile-2023_33a4c54e/3110840c-en.pdf It’s a pretty good, accessible and private system based on solidarity where insurance is compulsory. Should it be replicated in the US? Are there better libertarian alternatives? The dutch system seems to be neat

That looks like a whole lot of unnecessary overhead to me. Compared to what we have now in US, possibly a little better. It's hard to compare results, even with so much detail in statistics in that pdf, because Americans are just so different in their daily lives. So many Americans with eating-related health problems isn't the fault of the medical system, it's on consumers and manufacturers for eating and selling horribly unhealthy food.

Honestly most people don't understand the complexity of the US healthcare system, much less the Netherlands and definitely not enough to compare and contrast to determine which more so fits libertarian ideology.
