What is Greece doing there? Lol
ResoningDarkness@reddit
To counterbalance turkey ofc
ConsciousPatroller@reddit
I honestly can't understand why Greece was invited, lol. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's great that my country is represented in these kinds of things, but I don't think we're the most capable or strong regional player to have a say in these matters.
Well done to Getapetritis (MinEx) though for managing this. Perhaps we're seeing a reemergence of capable diplomacy.
georgakop_athanas@reddit
Koulis' government and the army of Internet trolls they control being the biggest genocide bootlickers for the past 2 years?
shqiptarski1444@reddit
Greeks have been in intimate contact with the near east since ancient times. The first language the Bible was translated into was Greek.
vincenzopiatti@reddit
Probably because it's important for both countries to establish energy hubs and routes excluding Turkey.
Skt_turbo@reddit
Your country was invited because of its history. Our entire Western principles are built on the foundations of ancient Greece.
ConsciousPatroller@reddit
I don't think modern geopolitics care a lot about symbolic gestures like this, lol
Skt_turbo@reddit
History is diplomacy. Soft power matters more than you think.
TheRedBaron-7@reddit
are greece and egypt not coordinating military things together?
EnesAkhan@reddit
They do military exercises from time to time but beyond that not that much?

ConsciousPatroller@reddit
Relative-Camel-9762@reddit
Probably because we're Israeli simps, so they requested all their simps put on their ball gag, put on their collar, and show up
CypriotGreek@reddit
Can’t wait for our Prime Minister to go on a nationalistic rant about the rights and the future of the Israelis then come back to Greece to tell us how we should be more progressive and liberal.
EnesAkhan@reddit
Cant wait him saying the classic "dont give Turkiye weapons nd remove them from NATO cuz they will invade us" speech 😅
ConsciousPatroller@reddit
Well... it's not great but it's a fact that the strongest Türkiye gets, the more aggressive the Aegean rhetoric becomes. It is vital for Greece to maintain the already fragile balance of arms by restricting or limiting the sale of modern weapons to Türkiye.
vincenzopiatti@reddit
We're in a ridiculous arms race. Drone technology we developed (which is like ok and cheap, not super advanced) spooked you guys and you militarized the islands plus added some US bases along the borders which spooked us to develop ballistic missiles and shit. It's such a joke.
I know that you guys are concerned we'd invade you, but the truth is we don't have to do that to take over. With a high average age, low fertility, and youth immigration, Greece will be nearly empty in 100 years anyways.
bostanite@reddit
Mweh wouldn’t worry too much. We have been in much much worse states over the last 3000 years. We always come back on top.
ConsciousPatroller@reddit
Meanwhile Türkiye's economy getting worse every year, birthrate steadily decreasing, not to mention at its worst politically (freedom of press, freedom of opposition etc). So yeah you will absolutely "take over" organically. I'm sure of that.
(Without even getting into how terrible the "take over" mentality is)
khrushchevka2310@reddit
The islands had increased military for decades, after Cyprus. And bases are too recent for turkey to develop and manufacture missiles.Basically its turkey being more aggressive and greece trying to balance it.
EnesAkhan@reddit
or Israelis can take it over cuz just how many immigrations happened to Greece
correct me if i m wrong but the numbers arent low at all in % compared to Greece population afterall . same stupid mistakes we did .. truely one of a kind neighbours we are smh xD
EnesAkhan@reddit
honestly its funny cuz both sides know that they can never sustain a war economy on such a level againts each other especially considering outside factors in it .
HalayChekenKovboy@reddit
We can't even sustain a regular economy 💔
CypriotGreek@reddit
I wonder why we make such speeches. Truly a mystery.
Malgus1997@reddit
Why tf does Hungary get over represented in geopolitics so much? It’s like everyone forgot that they no longer are the medieval powerhouse they used to be, even post Trianon.
cameliap@reddit
Judging by the map, this is anything but peace summit.
1000Zasto1000Zato@reddit
Jesus they snubbed ALL Slavic countries again?! WTF are we doing in alliances with these guys, I’ll never understand. No wonder they still use our ethnic name Slav for their word slave
CocoonNapper@reddit
If Bulgaria wasn't there, then it's a waste of time. Now they have to invite Bulgaria and do it all over 🤷🏻♂️
ZestycloseAardvark36@reddit
No, we have not even recognized Palestina. Which is dumb as fuck. (Netherlands)
Er1on004@reddit
Nah bro, we just beat Serbia, im chilling.
abhora_ratio@reddit
No, not really, no. I mean.. we have our thing going on with Ukraine and the hybrid warfare and the budget deficit and all the rest. It's crazy enough.
reriser@reddit
Hungary?!
JakobeBryant19@reddit
Pagers
Zsamy@reddit
We think we're on the team
cloudybookmark@reddit
Orban is bestie with Benjamin shitanyahu , of course they are invited. They invited mostly their allies lol
Tramagust@reddit
Nah fuck than we ain't touching it with a 10m pole
iv13ns@reddit
Why?
When talking about beer, would you invite mongolians to talk about it or germans?
We are not the experts on peace...
War and warcrimes, however... where/when is that summit?
petrosteve@reddit
Honestly only America is really relevant.
BalkanViking007@reddit
For the amount of money sweden put into the area the swedes should absolutley be invited
Gensai78@reddit
Ofc,everyone know balkans are the best when it comes to peace
MyPlantsDieSometimes@reddit
I mean, I'd instead say everyone know what happens when "peace" is decided *without* the balkans 😅
edinisback@reddit
Absolutely not.
Why would we go to a dipshit region filled with dictators?
Hypnotist8157@reddit
U can hate on the dictators without calling the region dipshit
CTPABA_KPABA@reddit
Honestly Serbia has nothing to do with it and it is not even minor power yet alone major one. It would be waste to give lunch to ours bloodsucking traitor politicians. Only positive would be if they were poisoned there by accident.
BarskiPatzow@reddit
Where do I sign this statement.
EchoEcho642@reddit
hungary
mohammeddddd-@reddit
Tf hungary gonna do
biokaniini@reddit
I don't know what this summit is about, but I suppose it feels good to be invited to a big event, pose on the red carpet and give an interview for a press.
NefariousnessOdd35@reddit
There's no real reason Germany should have been invited. They are useless when it comes to foreign policy
