PC-AT CMOS(real time clock)

So I have an old machine tool that uses an old 486dx motherboard, AT clone that interfaces with a controller via EISA bus. The CMOS battery died and I replaced it. (Dallas real time clock) now every bios change or setting saves, except for the year. The time, day, month, ect will store just not the year. It isn’t that big of a deal it’s just weird

The Y2K bug comes to mind. Do you know what your BIOS version is? It may require a chip replacement or with any luck you can flash it from a bootable floppy.
