I'm looking to locate a few Magnavox Videowriter 3.5 Proprietary floppy disks. Havent had any luck on eBay. Is there a better place to look?

Sounds like you may be able to just insert any disk and hit escape to format it?
Found an image here that you could write to a floppy if not, using Greaseweazle or similar. https://archive.org/details/PhilipsVideoWRITER250

I haven't received the machine yet. It's in transit. It includes a data disk. I can't tell from the picture if it's the same design as a standard 3.5 floppy or there's some design differences. Looks identical.

Looks there is also a 5.25” one and a cartridge one, but if it’s the 3.5” one then yeah according to those docs it’s just a normal Panasonic 3.5” drive in there. So physically the same, just proprietary data format.

Ok. Good to know. I just asked ChatGBT 🙄. It says yes you can use a standard 3.5 DD disk. It will overwite a disk previously formatted for IBM with its own formatting system. We'll see how accurate ChatGBT is...
