What's the Best Keyboard in 2025? (Price, Sound, Size)

Hey guys! I'm almost done with my setup, just missing a keyboard now. My budget is up to $200. I prefer a mechanical one. Nice creamy sound. Something that's also not going to break in a year :D. Honestly I'm a bit overwhelmed by points.. 75% size is good for me I think. I game but also do some work.
What are you guys using or would recommend?
Thanks!

Best is so subjective. I always recommend going to a best buy or somewhere that has a bunch of them on display. It's not perfect but you can get an idea what the 3-4 major brands sound like and how their switches feel.

Keyboards can go for $200+ easy if you do no-holds barred custom. For under $200 there's a lot of premade ones. You want to avoid the common name brands here like logitech, steelseries, corsair, razor, hyperx (and royal kludge(ciy) got lower quality now or were always bad?). Instead look for something like Aula, Akko, Monsgeek maybe epomaker or keychron(?) etc. I'm using tecware phantom+ wraith orange, but tkl and wouldn't say creamy so wouldn't recommend. If you do number entries for work a separate numpad may be useful. For your budget there's no reason not to get one with qmk/via/vial support unless you have no interest at all in macros/remapping. Depending on the board's support for it, you could get a good base and swap in the switches you like, and same for keycaps.
monsgeek m1 v5 with swapped in akko penguins? just throwing that out there as example, no experience.

I've been very happy with my Endgame Gear 60HE. Not as good as Wooting, but certainly better than most gaming brands. Hefty mfer too, solid aluminum chassis. Build quality is top notch.

Are you trying to use this for work/school? In the office? Or gaming?

Windows, only at home both for gaming and some work. Typing feel and comfortability is important for me

Then this is my suggestion. It isn't mechanical but the next step for gaming.

There is no best, it's personal preference
Out of the box, the aluminum case Keychron boards are probably pretty high up there for quality

You are going to get a million different answers because there are just so many different keyboards and switches out there. I would recommend going over to the mechanical keyboards sub. They have a very extensive wiki that answers just about any question that you may have.

So much personal preference in keyboards. There isn't really a "best" one.
There are some solid value propositions. If you like that kind of viral "thocky/creamy" sound you could look at the Rainy75 or Bridge75. Those are very solidly constructed keyboards with tons of foam and good switches.
Hall Effect keyboards are super popular in gaming spaces because their magnetic switches offer a ton of possibilities when it comes to gaming. Wooting has great software to manage those features, their 80HE would probably be the one you'd want and is right at your budget, but may be lacking in the typing experience.
I personally use the Magger68 which is also a Hall Effect keyboard a ton of gaming features, but with software less awesome than the Wooting, but it does have a super nice typing experience and a super premium feeling construction. I prefer it to the foamier keyboards I've used.
At work I use a cheapo-Leborg Hi75c with silent switches and I think it feels awesome too in its own way. There are a ton of decent and cheap Aluminum keyboards on Amazon from brands like Aula/Epomaker/Yunzii that would give you a platform to add switches/keycaps to and personalize your typing experience.
All that to say, it's up to you, no "correct" option, just a lot of good options.

Recently bought a Womier SK 75 TMR and it is fantastic. I’ve had various expensive Logitech keyboards, a Glorious GMMK Pro, then a Keychron K2 HE before getting the Womier and it’s been the first one that hasn’t gotten me wondering what my next keyboard will be.

I just got a Keychron V1 Max with brown switches at Microcenter and I like it. Feels nice, types well, and has a volume knob which is kind of a must for me. It can be wireless or wired and it's also backlit. Paid about $100 for it.
