Just reached 1000 miles on my velotric nomad 2 that i picked up from a local pawn shop. If your curious about this bike feel free to ask me questions if you are thinking about getting one. Personally it's my favorite out of all my bikes

I agree with you. Velotric seems to have a robust platform and minimal issues from what I’ve seen.
Do you know if you have the old firmware or new firmware? If you press and hold the M button, it pulls up the Speed Control option: if you select it and it has separate adjustments for throttle and pedal top speed, it’s the old firmware, if it’s one unified top speed value, it’s the new firmware. Personally, I like the older one a bit better. Just adjust it to your preferred top speed for each, then press M again to save, then the back arrow at the bottom of the input pad to exit.
Source: Just one of the many brands I build and service daily… I believe yours is the Sage step-through Nomad 2, whereas this one pictured is a Nomad 2.X (full suspension) high-step in Obsidian (one of my favorite paint finishes from them).

Simple rope light that cost 12 bucks on Amazon and a USB power bank that is under 3 amps USB a voltage is what I used to thread around the Burley Hopper which has the perfect size little loopholes under the ridge to feed a rope light into and it works out perfectly to be seen at night

link to the rope light? I had a light strip on the cargo area of my bike the first winter and it didn't make it all the way through

It's sold out unfortunately

I have the 2X and have been happy with it

I also recently swapped out the rear tire because I got a flat and while at first it was intimidating I learned the trick of flipping the bike upside down on the seat rather than trying to raise it on blocks of wood it's a lot easier to swap out the tires that way and now I'm a lot more confident about changing the tires on a heavier bike but a word of caution to people cut the zip ties near the motor before you get a flat and replace it with something that doesn't require cutting in the future so if you're caught without a small pair of scissors or clippers you can easily access the wheel still

Take it to a shop to get tuned up, keep it nice.

I've been learning to do a lot of e-bike repairs myself my next junction to conquer is brake pads so I got to figure out how to swap those out cuz they're probably about due

What is your time worth to you? Could you save the time in experimenting and making mistakes doing other things that are also important? My shop would only charge you about $100 for a tune up, meaning everything would be done right and returned to you within a day.

Wow that's a really good deal here in South Florida unfortunately most of the bike shops here are not very affordable or timely. Rei by me had like a 3 week turnaround and my last bike I picked up from them The handlebar stem was not even bolted securely on which was a little scary so I've learned not to depend on others for my safety on my bikes

I’m in the dc area, it’s unfortunate there are a lot of scammers in your area.
