Big arrow for landing

Hi ppl, I saw this arrow while landing in Bangkok from the front camera of the 787-9.
Is this a normal thing to do when landing in the night? What if two planes lane in different lanes? 😆

That's the FAA system. The Eurpopean systems look more arrow-like from afar

I believe those are just the normal CAT II+ runway lights from an angle and far away.
