MiRider GB3 owner here and have continuous issues with rear tyre...

I love this bike. It's exactly what I need for commuting.
However, I've had issues with the rear tyre. I'm in my 3rd tyre on less than a year. Every one has had issues where it's bulged and separated on the sidewall. I would have thought this was under inflation, but I am religious about keeping the pressures at the rated pressure for the tyre.
Initially, MiRider told me the first tyre, a knobbly off road one, should be inflated to 65psi, despite the tyre rating saying otherwise. The second and third tyres, same problem, but the regular road tyres.
I'm not a light fella, and this bike is rated for at least 10kg heavier than I am.
Should I be keeping my tyres inflated to much higher psi instead of 40? I would have thought it should be just to rated inflation, but then again, 16" wheels I would expect to need much higher pressure.
Just confused.

Hi gingerbear ! I am not sure which tyres your shop is selling you - Have you tried one of the options by schwalbe ? they have some very durable ones in your wheel size, maybe the marathon, or marathon plus ? sidenote: they can be hard to get on the rim.

I think I had trouble finding the tyres with the proper width. 2.125" if I recall off the top of my head. They might actually be made by Schwalbe
