I need help building my first PC!

I recently wanted to build my own pc, I am mainly looking to play cpu-based games but I don't know if a Ryzen 7 5700X,16gb DDR4 Ram and a GT 1660 would be enough to even run Fortnite properly? I am entry level but have been watching videos about building pcs since forever. The GPU is used so I got it for free.

That hardware can certainly run Fortnite, although don't expect to maintain a consistent 180FPS.
5700X only makes sense if you already own an AM4 motherboard. For a brand new build you should go with AM5 instead, an R5 7600 is only $170 and 20% faster than the 5700X for gaming.

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/y9fKv4 This is what I have right now, just imagine the GTX 1660 is there, I am going to go look on separate websites to hopefully find some deals but let me know what I can improve with a minimal budget increase.

CPU cooler comes with thermal paste already.
Thermalright Phantom Spirit SE is much better than the CM Hyper 212, worth $6 extra.

You need an SSD for a modern system. Hard drives are worth using for storing big files, like video or music libraries.

850 watt PSU is overkill for a typical PC. A good 750 watt unit can run high-end hardware.

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/jtGmwY what would your estimate be for the type of performance I can for fortnite, I don't have to ask about valorant as I know it will run at my desired hz. Take in consideration preformance mode bc I don't play without it.

Thank You, I didn't know that!

I was hoping to be under $700, Given that I already have the gpu in hand.
