A very Russian affair

A mock scaled down Berdan II bolt for a dumb project I had thought of. I really love nice hunting rifles made using outdated military rifles (not bubba’d guns but modern production ones). But I don’t like mausers (not a bad gun in the slightest just not my cup of tea). So I thought I could convert one of the 7.62 converted Berdan II’s I have some very good reference materials and will be trying them in 3d printed form first. And unlike the Russians I don’t have to worry about scale and economics.

Are you going to go with the bolt handle being the only locking lug too?
inserttext1@reddit (OP)
No I’m most definitely definitely going to change out the bolt head.

Going to stay single shot or add a magazine?

The 7.62 Berdan conversions had the receivers cut to accommodate new bolts with actual locking lugs.

Are you hunting a conversion or building a scratch rifle?
