Getting lower temps on stress testing then gaming CPU

cpu z max stress gave a 71c. but a warm up during cinebench gave a max of 83c. minecraft under high cpu load gave 81c. so wtf is going on bro

Get an aio

lol i’m using a galahad lite 360 performance

Then you’ve got something installed wrong.
Ok-Network9638@reddit (OP)
but that’s just it. i don’t really. tubes are correct position aio is on top. sticker is off cold plate, thermal paste spread is good with kyronaut. hell i even have a contact plate.

Ok. 80c isn’t even a temp to be worried about. These CPUs are designed to go to 95c.
You could go into bios and make sure PBO is turned off. Of course, it might lower performance a little bit since PBO will keep increasing the performance until it hits the thermal limit.

What’s purpose?

I think its because gpu also heats up so the cooler for cpu sucks the heat up or idk. Its not like you asked if its dangerous or smth (i assume that you alr know modern cpu turns itself off once it reaches dangerous temps)

i’m gonna perform a test on this with minecraft. because i’ve realized that these 50 series cards love to ramp their shit hard if left at uncapped fps, so i’m gonna check what my gpu temp is hitting as well and do the math for the cpu and gpu temp combo
Ok-Network9638@reddit (OP)
but you know what? that does make a lot of sense. because i checked monitoring during cpu stress test and it fully used all of my cpu to true 100%. But when minecraft is using 90% to 100% of my gpu along with my cpu. that tempature rockets. So i guess it’s not quite just my cooler. it’s a factor of airflow as well

Yeaa, that might be it. I left my case open for that reason 🥀
Ok-Network9638@reddit (OP)
lmfao real. though i’m sure there’s a way more plausible way around that
Ok-Network9638@reddit (OP)
no im not worried of danger, im worried of just abnormal temps, im a big piece of mind kinda person
Ok-Network9638@reddit (OP)
Oh yeah forgot to mention i’m on a 9800x3d
