I imagine an electric MTB would be great for hard climbs. The trail I like has a climb at the end when most people are gassed that this would be perfect for.
I honestly need to get a pic of this hill at the base. Couldn't go up it at all and after several months I decided one day that I'm going to do it, no matter what. Got to the top and almost passed out.
They were super heavy. The factory in China has never done a full-sus frame before and it showed.
Also Storm lied about the specs as always and pissed off a lot of people.
If you threw away the stock suspension and got some real shocks, wheels, tires, and shifting parts you could make a reasonable bike out of them, but at that point there were less costly options that ride much better.
Thank you. I was one of the first round of people to get the Rock Star. I made some upgrades off the original build. I was able to get it for 1,900. Once it was released officially it jumped to 3,800 lol. I guess that's why the company folded. They should have stayed with bikes instead of trying to get into other electric spaces.
Great name for a bike and an amazing price. It is a shame they went out of business with such a good product. Meanwhile Chinese companies spit out cheap OK bikes and make a fortune. Take care of the bike.
That a Rockstar?!? I wanted one of those so bad, but I went down the rabbit hole for Bafang Ultra bikes and got a Dengfu based bike instead. Still love that frame though.

Why'd they stop making that frame, do they hate money?
RemarkableGuy122@reddit (OP)
One of the best frames I ever owned. The bikes rides like its on a cloud.
Erilson@reddit
God damn, that front shock and rear shock suspension looks fucking sick!
The frame integration with that rear shock is pretty unique!
Can't ride another bike like this one without a reality check lol.
Must be a world of difference!

Crazy thing it rides like a MTB you would never know its electric. It's a beast.
UnstablePotato69@reddit
I've never seen a double suspension electric bike. Ever taken it MTBing?
Technical_Dish_1250@reddit
I specifically got my mokwheel because it was the cheapest full suspension ebike that had a bunch of youtube vids so I could see how it rides
RemarkableGuy122@reddit (OP)
Yes. It's a beast. I have out ridden several MTB high-end bikes. Love it

Definitely helps. Although I try not to use it. If I do and I'm being lazy I use the pedal assist lol

Lolll congrats on the climb

There is nothing unique about that frame, geo, or suspension, it's a dime a dozen.
Some bot comments are so stupid it's baffling.

Love the bike looks so high quality and that frame I could trust doing 100mph vs most ebikes

I was in charge of produce when this bike was produced. It's a cheap, heavy bike based on old geometry built to a price point with ultra budget parts.
The only "design" work was a sketch sent to China. There's no engineering involved other than asking the factory for certain changes.

I wish Sondors had just remained focused on bikes. I appreciate the comments. Made some upgrades to the original build.
timbodacious@reddit
they had a good thing going with that bike too bad they went bankrupt
LargeNerdKid@reddit
Beautiful bike looks expensive!

Long live Sondors lol. It's a Bafang motor lol.
