Yeah, I know it's MTV news, but it's so lol to hear a "journalist" saying "full blown AIDS" especially in an obituary.

The announcer is probably trying (poorly) to make it clear that his HIV had progressed to AIDS, which is what caused his death, and not an HIV-related illnesses. In the 1990s, not everyone understood the distinction.

I'll never forget that episode of Yo MTV Raps where they were at Ezy's mansion. There was a party going on in the backyard. Girls all over the place and in the background there's Magic Johnson dancing with some girls Less than a year later Magic announces that he had HIV. I think Magic and Ezy were mutually acquainted with some of the same women.
