Shooting on a modern smartphone makes it look worse as well.

From Welwyn Garden originally. Seen this level of natural beauty exist and be lost over the years in our town. Damned shame.

Milton Keynes the city of trees! The only problem I have with Milton Keynes is it has no heart, most towns, even new towns, have a high street and obvious centre. Milton Keynes looks like an out of town shopping centre has been dropped into a housing estate

I think it's just a matter of perspective.
I used to live in Norwich. We had a "heart", the town centre, you can walk through it, it has shops on either side, it's in the middle of the city, etc. Lots of people, lots of footfall, buskers etc. There are two shopping centres/malls connected to it.
In MK I have this too, it's just that it's indoors and the shopping centre is a part of it. Other than the fact that it's indoors, there is zero difference. It's in the centre of the city, when I need to get from one side of town to the other I walk through it. Imagine a town centre that keeps you dry when you are going to work.
We also have more traditional high streets in Wolverton, Bletchley, Stony, and Newport Pagnell.

Reminds me of the Netherlands with their segregated cycle and pedestrian paths.

I can't believe how horrid this is. why would anyone live here? back to Dorset for me!

Between linford wood and Neath hill, very quiet underused part of the redway system, lots of open plots waiting for development and also lots of old run down warehouse buildings. Strange considering how central it is.

Picture 4 immediately took me back to the days walking to and from secondary school back in the 00s!

No joke, I went to the tip this weekend and the hedgerow beside it was a riot of autumn colours with the dogwood and maple and ash trees in full splendour. Can't even go to the dump without noticing how nicely this place is planted!

And not a soul in sight

The autumn colour always look amazing in Milton Keynes along the wall ways.

I KNEW this was Milton Keynes even before I scrolled. We have a wonderful Parks Department.

The best thing about Milton Keynes is the Park's Trust. If it were up to politicians and the council to manage them there is no way they would be as good as they are.
Hidden_But_Here@reddit
The parks trust sent me an survey about them approving development in Campbell Park and paying for parking in all car parks up there in the near future. They sadly aren't what they once were.

So grey, much dystopia, lot bleak!
