Yea that’s a legit question. Bren is a super sleeper. Amazing gun that doesn’t get a lot of credit for it. The Carmel is the same. I bought it because I scored a great deal on it a year ago. I got it more as a curiosity. Now that I have it and shot it a ton, I genuinely enjoy it. She thick tho.
Yeah I loved the ARX160 for what it was. People will poo poo polymer all day but modern materials are fine.
It definitely was a relic for that weird transition period prior to standardizing on attachment systems, but it was silly light.

No. If you go far enough back towards their original release on the US market, they were a little more than this. Not over $2k though. Not unless you were browsing once of the cvid price gougers.

My understanding is that spare parts for the Brens are non existent or next to it.
When you add the significant price tag that puts it in line with a high end AR, that's not a recipe for commercial success.

Bren 2 over this any day if you can only have one, it’s a battle-tested weapon currently in use in Ukraine.
