Best Way to Send Holiday Cheer (Money) to Someone in Budapest?

I have never sent money to a foreign country. It will be a "surprise gift." I do not have their home address, but I do have their work/office information. How would you go about it? (I am in California.) thanks!

Is this a friend or a random person you’ve met on the internet? Keep in mind there are romance scams.
Anyways, a majority of the population in Hungary has Revolut or Wise. You can send the money there using their phone number or email address if you don’t know their bank account number.
However, I would get them something more personal rather than just sending money.

You figured it out. His name was Zoltan Bence; he refused payment for services. But I owe him. He was that good. Kidding.🤣 You made me laugh so hard just now that I peed down my left leg. Seriously, what is the ominous warning about using the workplace address without permission?

It might get thrown out, stolen or considered as bribery (and could not be accepted). Just to name a few very plausible instances where the recipient will not get their parcel.

One thing is: never use a check. Because Europe doesn't use that system, it is extremely difficult and takes months to cash.

Who sends money as a gift like this? Sorry but it's so odd.
Revolut, Wise, PayPal might work.

Might be odd in Hungary. In California, it is a THING.
