don’t buy the MSI MAG A650BN PSU. Mine literally blew because of a faulty capacitor. It’s a known low‑quality unit with weak components, and it’s not worth the risk. I’d go for something like a Cooler Master, Corsair, or Seasonic instead. Much safer and way more reliable.
Lmfao whoops mine blew up today this morning faulty and trash made caps just be caususe im buying Cooler Master Elite Gold 750w to replace it only had it for 8-6 months stay safe bro
If you can’t afford a $85 Montech Century II 850W, it’s a mediocre budget PSU. Highly recommend spending $20 more on your PSU and getting something else.
High Power is an OEM PSU manufacturer. If you go by the cute little lists, the GD-F12S is ranked B+ on SPL and B on cultists. MSI A650BN is rated solid C on both. I've run them plenty and they stress test without issue.
You'll be amazed to find out that High Power makes PSUs that other companies resell, too. You just have to read a little bit.
Sure, but how often can you find High Power PSU. The fact they were super difficult to find a review of one to begin with means they're not super popular too
Why would they go to ebay to buy PSU when electronic stores exist?
Not to mention, local stores will have better prices and warranty/customer support you can contact to. If you buy a PSU on ebay and the seller is let's say all the way in China and you need to service it (unlikely) or return it, are you gonna go through all the hassle?
Maybe you're too stupid to look something up, I don't know. Keep telling yourself that MSI Bronze PSU is objectively better than a High Power Super Gold. Hint: it's not
1 product rating and 1 sold just proves my point of how unpopular this unit is. Also the warranty is 2 years only because it's a refurbed unit instead of brand new. If it was reliable, why would they only offer support for that short? A decent Corsair RMe offers 7 years, The MSI unit being asked has 5 years.
Whereas I can't even find any information regarding the warranty of High Power units.
If you're buying used anyway, why not go for Corsair RMe/i, MSI MAG/MPG, BQ PP11/12 or any of the proper S/A tier list units. Even if it's used, you can still get warranty through the manufacturer themselves.
So first you can't find them. Then you can find them, but you can't use Google to find any information. Then you say why not use an A/S tier PSU when the MSI is C tier already.
So again, High Power is an OEM manufacturer. I do not buy it from them, I buy it from somewhere else. You understand, MSI manufacturers 0 of the PSUs it sells, correct? The warranty you receive on a High Power is whatever warranty is offered by the distributor, reseller, platform, or none. I'm not going to weasel or worm out of that, that's the absolute truth.
Yet again, if you have read either list you'll see which PSUs they have manufactured. According to your logic a Gigabyte P550B is a strong buy because of brand recognition and a 3 year warranty from Gigabyte, even though it's dogshit E tier.
EVGA BQ 850W is E tier. There is no A/S tier BQ, nor is there any A/S tier Bronze PSU on the SPL list.
As far as transferable warranties on used PSUs, they don't magically transfer to the second or third owner. You can Google that information, it's quite simple. The irony is you've never read the warranty but claim they're transferable, which they're not except in limited circumstances.

I can't find it in my region, is there a similar PSU in the same range?
Not_LoKo@reddit (OP)
I dont need more than 650 really
KillEvilThings@reddit
850 means you can get an upgrade to a build without running the risk of overloading the PSU. It also means a higher quality more protective PSU.
Not_LoKo@reddit (OP)
True I guess
Forward_Cheesecake72@reddit
I use it b4 with rtx 4070, no issue at all
GALACTUS_gaming@reddit
Is 650w enough for that gpu ?
Forward_Cheesecake72@reddit
yes, no issue at all
loinclothsucculent@reddit
Not really. They're ok, depending on the application.
Not_LoKo@reddit (OP)
Are they reliable?
loinclothsucculent@reddit
Yes they're ok. For the same price I would've bought a High Power Super Gold 700W for $55.
dexterlab97@reddit
High Power Super Gpld doesn't have a single credible review. Why would you recommend it?

You ever heard of this amazing website called eBay?

You're right: no one buys anything online at all, especially not through ebay 😂😂😂😂😂
Here's Amazon

Seasonic - Not covered if bought on Ebay or other online marketplaces
EVGA - The transferred warranty will not exceed 3 years from the products shipping date from EVGA and will also not exceed the original warranty offered on the product.
Corsair - This warranty is limited to the original purchaser and is non-transferable, except where prohibited by applicable local law.
Thermaltake - The warranty is non-transferable.
[MSI - Warranty shall not apply: Product that is not purchased from an authorized MSI distributor or reseller, or was leased or loaned by a third party;MSI - Warranty shall not apply if not purchased from an authorized MSI distributor or reseller
Gigabyte - Nothing specified about transferability, so I would assume it is
Be Quiet! - looks transferable based on original date of purchase, but you're shipping it to Germany
Antec - This warranty is enforceable only by the original consumer purchaser. Proof of purchase is required for warranty service.
Cooler Master - The original customer purchasing the Cooler Master Product is covered under the Cooler Master Warranty Program.

At least in Brazil/LATAM I know MSI downgraded the model a tad. Still a good value unit here it must be said.
Otherwise, EU/US, perfectly fine C tier PSU that shouldn't cost more than 65USD absolute max.
Not_LoKo@reddit (OP)
Yea i grabbed a 650w for like 40 pounds which us around 64 bucks
Chitrr@reddit
Good enough. I got one 1 year ago and 0 problems.
