My cousin got me this the other day someone tell me what it is and why does it look so unsafe and weird

Looks cool though. Makes a good wall piece

Your cousin might be trying to kill you

Reverse image searching leads me to similar looking handguns, something blank guns converted to use lethal ammo. I know folk around the Khyber Pass like making clones but I can't seem pinpoint a specific gun. Might just be a mass-produced Frankenfreak.

So basically it's a safety hazard waiting to blow up in somones hand

It can be done safely but theyre usually 380acp not 9mm for a reason. Most blank firing pistols are made with weaker metals and have intentional weak points to prevent people from converting them to fire live ammunition.
valiu11@reddit
I agree 9mm will probably explode but some work if done by professionals
Chemical-Sandwich-86@reddit
Im not sure how much I consider stuff in that region professional lol that said if it was rebarrelled with a propper 9mm barrel and chamber and the slide wasn't made with the deliberate weak points and a shitty pot metal, it SHOULD work but I still would never fully trust a gun designed to fire low pressure blanks with full power live rounds
valiu11@reddit
Certain Turkish blank guns can fire 9mm if modified well and choosing the right materials and model, even if it is better to convert them to .380
valiu11@reddit
If done well, no

Its definitely an rns3 from rns defense. They sell blank pistols with out the medallion. I found a couple pictures that had the iraqi double swords instead of the colt marks. Same circle 10, colt and izmash proof marks. Some pictures had the colt medallion and even still had the misspelled original, some it was spelled properly. Seems some gunsmith out there is buying these in bulk. One of the pictures I found was in an iraqi gun sales FB group

Made in USA.
Izhevsk marking.
Circle 10 (Bulgaria/Arsenal) marking
Clearly a pot metal blank gun.
This is a whole lot of what the fuck all in one compact package.

I never got why handguns are so expensive in Iraq.
Then you get these cottage industry conversions.
What metal is the slide made out of? If it was me I’d at least give it a look over and see if I wanted to put a magazine through it.
To be fair all your Ba’ath era industry is gone. Not that the Helwan was a great gun.
What pistol ammo is common?

Try using image search

Orgenal 9mm of course!

The fact that the firearm has so little identifying information on the firearm itself as well as the fact that your cousin bought it without knowing what it is, plus the fact that you're asking the internet to identify it tells me that you shouldn't ever put this thing in your hand and fire it...
...unless you have a chronic masturbation problem that you need a solution to.
Also, I'd question your cousin's judgment from now on.

Ohhh it’s the extra safe edition with the slide safety and the ambi index finger one.

Shoot it with a vice and a string

Haha, can you share a photo or describe it? That’ll help figure out what it is and whether it’s actually dangerous or just looks intimidating.

“orgenal”
Chris_Christ@reddit
ORGENAL
Chemical-Sandwich-86@reddit
Its most likely a zoraki 2918 blank pistol converted to fire live ammunition. Judging by the Bulgarian, russian and colt proof marks, the misspelled original, its either converted blank gun or a clone
Sweaty-Objective-766@reddit
It used to be a retay xtreme 9mm pak blank. Does it actually chamber 9x19 rounds? I know these conversions to .380 but havent seen one in 9x19 yet.
TNTSahand@reddit (OP)
9x19 yes but i haven't fired it for obvious reasons
Emotional-Box-6835@reddit
Bench vise and safety string, for science
DoughnutAsleep1705@reddit
whatever it is, just know that its an orgenal.
khazixian@reddit
Looks like a Taurus PT909 kinda sorta
Key-Telephone-6632@reddit
Looks like a girsan knock off. The mc28 looks the closest to this.

Hand exploder 9mm

The backwards shooter 9mm
benbrends@reddit
Looks like one of those blank conversion guns made en masse in the Middle East.
Heptanitrocubane57@reddit
To be honest, to know what it is you need to post a lot more - chamber, mags, markings... If you want more know ppl to help ya ^^"
gusdagrilla@reddit
It’s an ORGENAL MADE IN U.S.A 9X19 COLT PISTOL with Russian proof marks!
