What are you thoughts on Vucic being worse and more hated in Serbia than even Tito and Milosevic ?

The parody is that I have read comments of Serbians saying Vucic works in Albania's favour while at the same time we call our PM Ramovic because he works for Serbia...
jokicfnboy@reddit (OP)
What did Edin Ramovic do for Serbia ?
He is just a clown and incompetent, not a serb.
Tomorr3@reddit
Open Balkans Importing a lot of serbian goods etc.
mrocznyduch@reddit
You think this is bad to have economic partnership between Serbia and Albania ?
Tomorr3@reddit
Considering we have some vital issues not resolved yet (like Serbia threating Kosova with war anytime) what do you think?
mrocznyduch@reddit
Not sure how Serbia is a in position to threaten anyone with NATO present in the region actively, what do you think would it better to have cooperation between Albania and Serbia or waste more in expenses in trades with Turkey or China ? ?
Tomorr3@reddit
NATO may cease to exist one day, who knows.
Of course I wouldn't finance Serbia's economy, for them to militarise themselves and then attack us. Come back to reality!
mrocznyduch@reddit
You would fear Serbia and not fear Turkey/Ottoman Empire who brought 500years of war ? Especially with their crazy president who still fantasize about the idea.
You need more common sense than me.
Tomorr3@reddit
We are at peace with Turkey, they don't have some secret plans to exterminate us at least. Unlike some of our neighbours who hate our guts.
mrocznyduch@reddit
You say we hate your guts, means a lot coming from you. You’re just playing the violin and don’t want to admit facts.
Why do you think Vucić went back on his word about Turkey and Erdogan ?
You just prove my point.
And you’re just speaking from feelings, not common sense.
Tomorr3@reddit
You are literally onto nothing!
Your country keeps buying military stuff from russia and china, but apparently it's Kosova the danger for wanting to protect itsself. Keep crying!
Incvbvs666@reddit
Terrorizing Kosovo Serbs is an extremely funny way of 'protecting yourself.' More like 'I can do whatever the hell I want as long as the US has my back.'
Tomorr3@reddit
Stop eating vucic propaganda, I don't understand why are you all so eager to bring him down if you believe everything he says. Bring me the sources that prove that they are being terrorized!
mrocznyduch@reddit
So we shouldn’t buy military and everyone else should ? What the fuck is this logic ? And why are you saying Russia and China ? What is the difference buying weapons from USA or China or France ? Playing the violin again. again dodge all the important questions I asked because you can’t answer them directly and attack me. According to you Turkey is good and Serbia is bad and that’s all that matters lol.
Beneficial-War-1429@reddit
I remember once seeing packed tomatos with label "from Albania" in supermarket in my town
Tomorr3@reddit
Yes, ramović and vuçaj are bff
jokicfnboy@reddit (OP)
Open Balkans doesnt exist. You dont have to import any Serbia goods if you have better options.
While Tito imported thousands of albanians into kosovo after WW2.
drjnn@reddit
Serbian bot gone rogue ?
Tomorr3@reddit
Why not?
Exactly why he is a serb...
Wtf? Neither is this true nor is it a parallel to my second point.
mrocznyduch@reddit
So are most of chief of states in the Balkan.
mrocznyduch@reddit
Vucić is a business man, he works with China EU and US. He plays with and gets most money he can. Not sure where you read that he works for Albania, I don’t think he even cares about Albania.
FinalClaim140@reddit
At the end they are collaborators ...and citizens struggle while they decide about everything...
iVar4sale@reddit
Tito was hated in Serbia?
Damirirv@reddit
They do because he stripped all the power from Belgrade and split it among the SFRs equally instead and also made the Vojvodina and Kosovo autonomies in the Serbian SFR.
jajebivjetar@reddit
The Serbs demanded that Vojvodina and Kosovo be autonomous provinces because they would have received 2 more votes in the presidency. In Kosovo, the vote always went in favor of Serbia because the Albanians could not decide on these matters on their own.
Incvbvs666@reddit
Serbs demanded nothing of the sort, and the constitution was purposely made to majorize Serbs as much as possible.
Fickle-Message-6143@reddit
The APs were created at the end of ww2, while powers to vote were given in '74.
PreWiBa@reddit
It actually didn't i think, at least not the whole time.
Albanians did had the upper hand in SAP Kosova up until Milosevic crushed their leadership and introduced a total control by Belgrade. He did the same in Vojvodina with the Anti-bureaucratic "Yoghurt" revolutions that ousted the people in charge that weren't in favor of him. With Montenegro, he then had four votes vs. four votes form Bosnia, Macedonia, Croatia and Slovenia. It was this abuse of the system that actually led to the tensions which would then Croatia and Slovenia definitely want independence.
Actually, Belgrade even thought that they had a 5-3 situation, since sometimes the representative from Sarajevo was a Serb. This is why Bogic Bogicevic, for whom they thought he was "their" guy, didn't vote in their favor, had such an important role in 1991.
DownvoteEvangelist@reddit
Some do hate him (usually nationalists) but nowhere near like Milosevic and Vucic..
1DarkStarryNight@reddit
that's weird.
y is Milosevic ‘hated’?
FinalClaim140@reddit
Milosevic was saint compared to autocratic quisling Vucici....
Incvbvs666@reddit
Anyone who can actually praise Milošević has a screw loose. There is not a single good or wise political move he did during his rule in Serbia.
ColdStorageParticle@reddit
Genocides maybe?

DownvoteEvangelist@reddit
Because no one would loan to Milošević. But at least we aren't a pariah state, aren't losing wars, and most of us aren't hungry (but all these things are subject to change)...
FinalClaim140@reddit
Yeah , that have sense 👍
Opp0site-Researcher@reddit
People in rular area hates him rightfully so as he did more harm to small farm owners than to Stalin sympathizers.
DownvoteEvangelist@reddit
My grandparents could fit that description, neither hated him, maternal grandma even kept Tito's picture on a cupboard..
Unable-Stay-6478@reddit
He's not. OP obviously has something against him.
LargeFriend5861@reddit
Considering that he's a genocidal dictator, I can see why.
Sandstorm_221@reddit
Genocidal against who? The Ustasha butchers who ran concentration camps for children?
LargeFriend5861@reddit
Moreso, the Bulgarian identifying people in today's Northern Macedonia.
Unable-Stay-6478@reddit
Cry more, even Dimitrov recognized them as a separate nation - read Bled Agreement. Instead of siding with Stalin, you could join Yugoslavia.
LargeFriend5861@reddit
Notice how I said the Bulgarian identifying people in today's Northern Macedonia, and not all the Slavs of Northern Macedonia. Yes, the majority identified as Macedonian Slavs at the time, and I have no reason to object to that. But many also had pro-Bulgarian views amongst those Macedonian Slavs, or were just identifying as straight-up Bulgarian. What fate befell them? Death, repression, whatnot.
Also, the Bled agreement not only required Bulgaria to cede Pirin Macedonia to the Macedonian SFR, which was one of the many dealbreakers, considering the land had a majority Bulgarian population. Not to mention that Bulgaria would've been split up in itself, and would've been secondary to the Serbian nation that already had a dominant sway over Yugoslavia. That, combined with the idea of Yugoslavia itself being garbage, I'm definitely happy we weren't in that mess. The 90s were rough for us, but thankfully, we didn't make it worse on ourselves.
BalkanViking007@reddit
In croatia it was quite hard to live under jugo my grandparents for example shared 3 bedroom spartment in split with 3 other FAMILIES with their own children. Imagine that. Because of that we are now in scandinavia
PreWiBa@reddit
This isn't the normal experience to be honest, even people that don't like him don't talk about housing issues.
BalkanViking007@reddit
Wait you telling me im wrong or talking bad?
This is the reason why my family came to scandinavia…? This + communism
NegotiationNo4399@reddit
Yes, because everything he did, he did in favour for Croatia and Albania.
Unable-Stay-6478@reddit
That's typical nationalist take. He did everything in favor of Yugoslavia, not separate republics. Every republic had its 'pros' and 'cons'.
mssarac@reddit
Tito should never be hated. As for Milošević, it makes sense, Vučić is worse in the sense that he has a certain amount of support from the West which makes him even more dangerous for everyone.
Incvbvs666@reddit
Tito was a monster who sent thousands of innocents to concentration camps.
Administrative_Bid51@reddit
Tito hated? 🤣🤣 🤣 Tf are you on? That man is praised around the world. Put some respekt on his name.
Incvbvs666@reddit
Tito was an anti-Serb monster. Long may he rot in his grave.
Administrative_Bid51@reddit
Maybe albanians have a point
Incvbvs666@reddit
I've literally had family members sent to concentration camps during his reign, but go on... continue with your pearls of wisdom.
georgakop_athanas@reddit
A large part of the hate towards Vucic comes from pro-Western media, because of his effort to balance between the West and the East, instead of going full pro-EU. Same goes for the pro-Western and pro-capitalist media origins of the hate towards communist Tito.
I discard those parts directly to the trash.
Wonderful_CG@reddit
Then go to Serbia and live there and see how wonderful Vucic is, maybe if you see it you will lick his a…

One is for sure, hatred towards Yugoslavia period is much bigger in Croatia, noone can deny that. Hence that get's tied to "Tito".
Matija_sjekira@reddit

KDtheDictator@reddit
Why would Serbs hate Tito? He was the sole reason Serbs have something to be proud of.

ne_grego@reddit
Serbia was under Ottoman rule for 500 years. He is worse.
Academic_Mechanic_36@reddit
Not true. There is a Serbian version of TDS, and many are suffering from it. If there were presidential elections tomorow, he would get 60% of the vote. Sad but true.
geoRgLeoGraff@reddit
I think people are kinda irrational about it. Let's be clear, Vucic is a prime example of a populist from a catch-all party hijacking all leavers of power, with corruption that's so bad it's criminal. But then to say Milosevic was better is a clear example of why Serbian ppl still have a long way ahead to try comprehend what choosing a good economy and stability means. I'd take Vucic' autocracy any day over Milosevic' wars, sanctions and abominable economy. Then again, I'd like Vucic to retire and even ban him from politics altogether. But this notion of Tito and Milosevic being great (even tho Tito was a way better politician, no doubt), and Vucic bad is a viscious circle Serbs are trapped in, reacting emotionally wthout thinking about real ways one could beat Vucic politically- we lack maturity and responsibility. In a sense, it's a symptom of history, but one needs to evaluate Vucic' regime carefully in order to understand what keeps him afloat. He built roads, skyscrapers, brought foreign investments never seen before since 2000, that's what ppl like. He also destroyed institutions, educational system (continued the destruction to be more precise), created a toxic polarizing atmosphere, that's what ppl hate. And so on...

more hated in Serbia than even Tito ...
FilipAdzic97@reddit
That's not really a high bar, Tito isn't hated
Professional_Stay_46@reddit
Tito is not hated in Serbia, Milosevic is also grey, Vucic is definitely most hated but still not viewed as evil by most people. If that were the case, he would no longer be in power.
InkOnTube@reddit
I hate Milošević quite a lot. I lived in Serbia at the time with my parents. He ruined the best years of my life and my whole generation (and that is nowhere near of what other teens of my generation suffered in Bosnia or Croatia).
Professional_Stay_46@reddit
That's why I said grey, especially if you weren't here after Milosevic.
Everything he said would happen after he is gone was realized, which is why he is not hated enough.
InkOnTube@reddit
I was, and whatever he said doesn't justify what he did to us.
Professional_Stay_46@reddit
People don't think like that, that's why they don't hate him enough.
Sandstorm_221@reddit
Tito isn't even hated at all, maybe controversial to some but hated is a strong word for sure. Last time Gallup did a poll regarding this in 2017 for Serbian citizens born in Tito's time, 81% responded that they perceive him positively. Hardly a ,,hated" guy.
2024-2025@reddit
The hate towards Tito feels very forced and new to fit the current nationalist agenda.
blackrain1709@reddit
Yeah they are forcing četnik agenda a lot lately
Sandstorm_221@reddit
Oh trust me it is. The current corrupt governments of Balkans have done everything they can to smear not just the communists, but in many cases even the pre-communist rulers to cover up their own corruption and crimes. In Serbia, many people will blame Tito for Kosovo, Aleksandar Karađorđević for creating Yugoslavia and always reminisce about what could have been in their schizo delusions rather than pointing their eyes where they need to be (in the fucking present) and fixing their country.
A tale as old as time. We literally have state sponsored ,,historians" in Balkans whose entire job is to distort history for the political agenda of the ruling elites.
jokicfnboy@reddit (OP)
A Serbian citizen that went throught Titos propaganda and was alive during his death would be around 15 years back then. So now right now they would be atleast 60 y.o. and starting to die out.
They might have a positive opinion but younger ones probably wouldnt.
Unable-Stay-6478@reddit
Younger ones that didn't even live during his reign... that's mental.
jokicfnboy@reddit (OP)
Younger ones are living through Titos consequences and are being ruled by Tito UDBA succesors.
Unable-Stay-6478@reddit
Consequences that followed had nothing to do with Tito but with Serbian politicians. Tito or not - we would be in the same shit.

Snoo-15899@reddit
Tito was never hated and Milosevic at some point had the support even by those who would otherwise hate him because NATO bombing generated unity against “common enemy” who was ought right throwing bombs at us. Much like Bush had enormous support after 9/11 even though he had terribly low rating beforehand. This “gentlemen”, locally known as Hulja, must fabricate enemies, but he is so spineless that he can’t even name them, so he just implies and says “the west”. More often than not he cannot say even that, because he has support of EU, so basically claims that it’s the Croats who are single-handedly somehow mobilizing all the educated people (or just the literate) against him. His position is that all students are foreign agents determined to destroy Serbia (by forcing him into constitutional bounds). So yes, he is the most hated and deservingly so.

Brother Tito was shitty, but compared to this motherfucker he was a saint. This mozherfucker is a micromanaging psychopath, who is the textbook definition of evil. Heck if he was in the position Milošević was in the 90s, and not just a lackey and propaganda minister, he would have made sure that there wouldn't be a pebble of Serbia left.
I despise the socialists (SPS), the radicals (SRS), and his own party (SNS) because they have been continuously poisonong our society with nationalistic and chauvinist propaganda and stopping us from trying to go forward.
So many Serbian, Bosniak, Croatian and Albanian mothers were left without children and homes in wars because of this guy, his parties and coallition partners
