Logistical nightmare

Looking at the current state of the army, militia and their weapons, it doesn’t seem like they could fight back if a major conflict breaks out. Fighting a real war requires strategy and proper weapon logistics.
Right now, they’re just carrying whatever they can find to look intimidating to its population, but when faced with a stronger invading force, they’ll likely drop their weapons and surrender.

Are we 100% sure they're not airsoft?
The weird mag on the AR-15 kind of makes me think airsoft.
BigBoarBallistics@reddit
it's a 7.62x39 AR
Modern_Doshin@reddit
Don't quote mr, but I thought the 7.62x39 ARs mags were like that?
goshathegreat@reddit
You are correct.
CombatRedRover@reddit
Cool. I didn't know that.
goshathegreat@reddit
It’s certainly not airsoft lol, it’s a 7.62x39 AR and magazine.

Yeah, this post makes me feel a bit safer if the military wants to go on any American oil endeavors.
I_2_Cast_Lead_45acp@reddit
My thoughts too. Most places can barely keep a common rifle/pistol working

Batallón Dignidad all over again.

Hopefully trump spares all the latina baddies.
kieranfitz@reddit
You mean Ms MP5 in the first pic?
KineticTechProjects@reddit
She even has the best gun there.
kieranfitz@reddit
I must defend the honour of the AUG as someone trained on one.

I wonder why special forces uses the qbz97. Seems like a bad choice to give such a subpar gun for specialists

Their armorer must be the Dalai Lama.

Diosdado Cabello’s AR is odd indeed. The pistol grip looks Turkish, but it is extremely unusual. As are the Chinese Type 56s - extremely odd to see these being used presently. The EG MPiKM’s that have popped up in recent years came from the disarmament of Nicaraguan rebels in the late ‘80s, the Mosin Nagants given to militia members came from Cuba and Russia, but these Type 56s are throwing me off. For those who don’t know this, Venezuela for DECADES was extremely uniform in their small arms usage. Mainly FN products, and kept to 9x19mm, 7.62x51mm, and 12.7x99 in general terms, with paratroopers, special police and national guard having access to 5.56x45mm guns. When Chavez came in, he de facto chose the AK-103, and opened the door to Russian arms. The Chinese then stepped in as Russian credits started to dry up, and exchanged arms for oil and precious metals (forget cash), but the absolute hodge podge of firearms further points to the total disarray presently in the country. NOTHING is in order.

Yeah, being honest the Venezuelan armories are kind of odd, it's like every order they had fell some time after Chavez, I remember seeing some pictures of recovered stolen guns and accesories from a military armory, and for some reason there was an HK G3, Venezuela also uses the HK33A3 but there are almost no pictures since they are used in small numbers or just used by certain units and groups.
In fact, I know for some sources I searched, that the Navy uses the SIG SG550 or a variant in small numbers but those guns were never seen since nobody takes pictures of Navy members with their guns out. I know that the high ranks in Special Forces and National Guard in fact uses the Arsenal Firearms Strike One but just the Italian version, weird since these gun is also manufactured in Russia and used by the Spetnaz.
And for never confirmed weapons, there are some videos, but due to the quality is hard to tell if it is true but some people say that Special Forces have a very few number of AK-15s, but could be AK-103s with Zenitco Kits since there have been a pair of pictures of seized guns in Venezuela with some Zenitco parts. And for other guns that are barely pictured there is the Vektor R4 and CR21 along with at least one L85A1 that was being tested in the late 90s or early 2000s but probably there were just a dozen for testing purposes. And I remember some picture that featured an early HK G36 being used by a government associate

Good loot to bring home 🤫

This hodgepodge of weapons is how you know they aren't properly organized
PhilLeshmaniasis@reddit
What's the giant red arrow in the 4th picture pointing to? 🤔
Entire_Judge_2988@reddit
Don't they have heavy weapons? Like RPGs or PKMs.
If I were them, I'd organize tens of thousands of RPG and IED teams.

The ar in 7.62x39 is an oddball but makes sense in a world where aks in 7.62x39 is prevalent and even the opposition has it. Seen this with Bancroft pmcs in Africa . Rockin ar pattern rifles on 7.62x39.
nehibu@reddit
The tactical tuna with foregrip certainly also is a choice.

The CS/LS6, formerly CS/LS06[1] or CF-05, also known as the Changfeng submachine gun (Chinese: 长风冲锋枪/長風衝鋒槍; pinyin: Cháng Fēng chōng fēng qiāng), is a submachine gun developed by Chongqing ChangFeng Co. Ltd in the early 1990s in response to China's demand for a new submachine gun design. Via Wikipedia
