North Texas Pride "Come As You Are" Festival!
Posted by DeterminedBiped@reddit | plano | View on Reddit | 16 comments

Join us in celebrating diversity and love in downtown Plano! The day will be filled with music, vendors, and performances. There will be food trucks with delicious offerings and amazing crafters showing off their talents. Enjoy a mild October evening in the presence of love and acceptance. See you there! https://www.northtexaspride.com/
The Plano police department will be providing security for the event.
If the idea of the festival causes you psychological distress, no worries! You don't have to come. If you are motivated enough, protestors are able to voice their opinions in a pavilion that does not, sadly, have good food and fun.

Can I identify as a 12 year old? I'm broke can't afford a ticket lol

If you feel the need to protest people living happily as they are, without hurting, literally, anyone, then you might want to go ask your deity of choice why you are so filled with hatred.

there’s a guy here with a megaphone and he’s not very smart so it’s kind of the same thing over and over. bummer. he also thinks he can play the harmonica lol

I was one of the belly dancers. We drowned him out with music and sparkles.

Is insulting someone you don’t know but disagree with agree yet who is hurting literally no one something your movement would be mad at if someone did that to you?
Asking for a friend.

do i like when my daughter is being called a fag and a pervert while we’re trying to have a nice time? yeah i do.
what a stupid question
Farazod@reddit
I'm curious if you would point that question the other way. Would you condemn the insults of the people protesting the event?
I was nearby and not attending the event with my small child and we left because of the language the jerk was using and the environment it was creating.

The most loving and caring thing to say to another human is to warn them when their sin is leading them astray from the god that created, sustains and cares for them. If you think disagreeing with another human and using words to inform of this and that hurt literally no one then you might want to ask yourself if you truly understand the word “hate”.

Or you could love everyone as they are and just be a good person without bringing judgement into the equation, ever, because you are not a deity, and you don't even know for sure if you picked the right religion of the many that exist.

I disagree with you. The kind thing is to not try and force YOUR religious beliefs on others. The most loving and caring thing to do is just act like Jesus did and take care of others, not pressure them. This is coming from a former Christian who got tired of even hearing other Christians try to say I was never good enough.
Just actually be like Jesus, do good deeds. If you do, others will maybe follow and listen without you shoving it down someone’s throat with a megaphone or a Reddit post. People listened to him cause him backed up his words with visible action. A stranger on the internet or in the wild is rarely going to listen to someone they have never met before spewing what sounds like hatred and a disregard for their own spiritual and religious beliefs.

I agree, but I feel like Jesus would've told you if you were sinning, out of the live he has for us.
