why get job, invest, and be whatever this writer's approximation of mature is when i can jerk off and goon to ZZZ and have the same amount of no house and no lover that i would if i followed his desired path (i dont jerk to zenless zone its just for the plot)
meechmeechmeecho@reddit
I never understood jerking it to a game. Like maybe if it’s like some form of foreplay to the actual jerk sesh.
LukeJaywalker0@reddit
i mean a picture of a real life woman versus a cartoon or game woman is just pixels on your screen anyway
Educational_Alps4308@reddit
what a dogshit take lmao. why dont you jerk it to pictures of wardrobes and couches then? its all just pixels on the screen anyway
LukeJaywalker0@reddit
because those aren't pixels in the shape of women
Educational_Alps4308@reddit
either it matters what the pixels shape up to be or they dont. you cant be claiming whichever side supports your disgusting kink with anime
LukeJaywalker0@reddit
if they shape up to be a vaguely woman form, you can jerk to it, whether it's a real woman or a video game character or what else
Educational_Alps4308@reddit
your shit take makes me so angry i could stand up
LukeJaywalker0@reddit
why r u so mad. if the pixels take the form of a vague representation of something that is sexually attractive to you, you can beat to it if you want. why is this a big deal to you
meechmeechmeecho@reddit
No, I get that. I mean while playing a game.
LukeJaywalker0@reddit
i think you just hover the character gallery and beat it in between actual rounds of gameplay
TinySmolCat@reddit
These articles are always written by feminists.
Their yardstick for whether you are an adult or not is whether you are of any use to women.
Guys who are just happy playing Xbox while making a moderate age? Never grew up, cuz they aren't accruing tons of debt to go on overseas vacations with a land whale.
Tons of guys have dropped out of the game cuz the system is completely rigged against them with how divorce court works, and how modern women treat them. They don't want to be another statistic just so they can look "grown up" to New York Times
outland_king@reddit
Its not feminists, its the aging genX economists trying to shame the genZ kids into consuming and spending money they dont have, notice how all the adult measurements are materialistic items : a house, a family, traveling, clothing etc.
Autisticus@reddit
Id try to have a family if I was wanted
LukeJaywalker0@reddit
so if i use 80% of my paycheck for onlyfans, am i grown up? too bad these brave soldiers scrape their pages and share them for free.
should we reverse the narrative and start writing articles about how women aren't grown up unless they suck dick on the first date? date meaning just going to your house and donating that sloppy?
Nasapigs@reddit
If you can unite men to actually support those kind of articles, but I don't really see that happening. Men don't support men like women do.
edbods@reddit
hahahahahahaha
Nasapigs@reddit
Was it the ambiguity of the sentence? I meant like they do to each other. Or do you believe the sisterhood isn't a thing
edbods@reddit
no i mean the worst enemy of women is other women. if you want to see it in action look at how a bunch of them treat a woman that looks better than them, or hear what they have to say when she's not around. guys get jealous of other guys all the time but the shit i've heard when women talk about other women behind their backs can be absolutely unhinged
S3ptyr@reddit
Even with a house and a job I’d goon to ZZZ.
wackojacko151@reddit
Which ZZZ girl thobeit this is important
LukeJaywalker0@reddit
i dont play that game so ill just say the hottest one that is of adult age
Just-Equal-3968@reddit
Because her bubble, and comfy very easy life of luxury, depends on men doing the shit jobs and the dirty work to maintain the boat. If most men could do it but on some token penance salary, and without asking for sily things like owning land and a house, or having a wife thats not allowed to whore around, etc.
Thats also why they vote and push and screach and claw for immigrants.
Nasapigs@reddit
I'm not entirely if you're pushing a gendered view or not. The only thing I want to add is the elites are using women's conformity traits to push these and she is one of them. So it's simultaneously gendered in result but not in motive.
Master_Shopping9652@reddit

Whether or not you got bullied results in growing up is a dog shit retarded take tbh.

The people pleading for more bullying seem to be in some fantasy lala land where they think they would and could never be the bullied one. I would love to see them stand by their principle when they get bullied. Bullying doesn't build you up, it just demoralizes, debilitates and destroys you. It would stunt you even more and make you bitter. It might even lead to either sewerside or violence.
AyAyAyBamba_462@reddit
I was bullied ruthlessly growing up. We need more bullies.
They provide a necessary role in our society: The early correction of abnormal behavior. Weird or odd behavior will be singled out and targeted. The behavior will be corrected or hidden behind closed doors. Society functions better as a result.
Instead our society has flipped and now coddles this weird, socially unacceptable behavior because it makes people more unique/diverse even when that uniqueness is bad.
Odinskriger@reddit
And as you have been ruthlessly bullied, you are coping at least as ruthlessly. Suffering has no magic meaning. You have been caused harm, for no other reason than the joy of others. Really deeply think and ask why you have to change for anyone? Maybe they should change for you? You did not ask that question, because you are either coping or a willfull slave to their whims and will. What is considered normal and appropriate behaviour is tied to whatever the whimsical fashion is at the time you are born and raised in. What role do they play if not the role of the enemy? What are you if you conform and embrave your enemies? Why are you not repaying them the favor?
Rambozo77@reddit
Or it makes you stand up for yourself and stop being a pussy
Odinskriger@reddit
The thing is, the time you stand up to them, most schools will punish you.
Rambozo77@reddit
That is true and it is ridiculous and unfortunate. But you still need to stand up for yourself and stop being a pussy.
Odinskriger@reddit
I agree with that. No one will stand up for you, so you will have to do it yourself. Do whatever is necessary, even if that means doing the Devil's bidding.
Rambozo77@reddit
This isn’t about butt stuff.
outland_king@reddit
I think the reason people are calling for bullying is the vast amount of shameless internet trending nonsense we see now with social media.
A few decades ago this wasn't a thing becuase you didnt have echo chambers of like minded people on the web to feed your ego; you had your local schools and neighborhoods, maybe a few social clubs that would call out bullshit so people adjusted to social norms of the time.

You know what's funny? That there is an entire generation that thinks home ownership has been in reach of everyone except their generation.
Only 32% of adults were homeowner's in 1989. Today that number is over 73%.
beclops@reddit
I assume these are US numbers? Canadian numbers would absolutely not match these figures
LooseButtPlug@reddit
Canada is 69% in 2021 (last official report) and estimated at 65.8% in 2025.
beclops@reddit
I’d love to see these numbers for each age demographic personally, because sure I have older family/friends that own homes from before our market truly started shitting the bed, but in my age bracket I know literally 1 person
FuckRedditIsLame@reddit
I think the doom you're fed isn't entirely based on the reality a fair majority of Canadians are experiencing.
beclops@reddit
You’re right there’s actually no problem at all :) that’s why building homes was the main goal of both of our candidates for prime minister, left and right
FuckRedditIsLame@reddit
The problem is not that there aren't enough homes, it's that too many people want to live in the same very specific places, and this is aggravated by current migration policies.
beclops@reddit
Yep this is exactly right. It definitely doesn’t help anywhere other than Vancouver or Toronto isn’t developed enough to support a bunch of people though. But you’re 100% right that there’s no incentive, financial or otherwise, to live anywhere other than those cities at the moment. It’s why it’s so damn stupid the municipal government in Toronto is attempting to reel back working from home
LooseButtPlug@reddit
Canada is 66.5%
Jimbenas@reddit
Source? This shit could be useful for clowning on all the doomers.
colddruid808@reddit
Most graphs and statistics you see are bullshit in some way. After all, we just make up arguments on the Internet that conform to our worldview.
If I had to guess though, both boomers and millennials are big generations, so when they both are in the same market the supply of housing is probably low.
I also think delayed milestones are definitely a real thing. If people joined the workforce immediately out of highschool perhaps they could save up enough money with their spouse to afford a home sooner.
Jimbenas@reddit
It’s worse if your degree ends up being useless. Imagine graduating with 80k in debt and 4 years of lost productivity.
The cost of a degree is well over 200k and 4 years of experience if you cannot find a good paying field. The degree inflation of Late Millennials and Gen Z is going to bite everyone in the ass.
LooseButtPlug@reddit
I literally just googled it and then made up my own numbers.
Jimbenas@reddit
I’m gonna just make up numbers from now on.

Rambozo77@reddit

TinySmolCat@reddit
that 65% is mostly concentrated on old people, young people are mostlly homeless
LooseButtPlug@reddit
"The percentage of young homeowners in the U.S. varies by age group, with the rate for those under 35 at approximately 36.3% in late 2024, while the homeownership rate for Gen Z (born 1997-2012) was 26.1% in 2024. However, data shows that homeownership rates among younger age brackets have fluctuated, increasing between 2016-2022 but declining since late 2023 due to economic factors."
The young are literally on par as they've always been, as they get older those percentages obviously rise because they make more money.

it doesnt really account for the amount of debt you have to take on now vs then
FuckRedditIsLame@reddit
Debt's the main thing here. In real terms a home is a lot more expensive over the life of the loan vs 50 years ago. But earning potential normalized by cost of living is higher today than it was 50 years ago, as is upward mobility. Key point though is that gen z and millennials think it's a god given right to live in the heart of any given city, but it's not, it's an absolute luxury, or you're going to live like a NYC immigrant taxi driver, with 7 roommates, eating the same meal every day.
Rambozo77@reddit
Or where you live.

YoNoSoyUnFederale@reddit
Don’t sell a generation on the absolute imperative of owning a home and how renting is fiscal suicide and then have both insane rents and unreachable real estate prices.
Many things are easier for younger generations but living arrangements are legitimately generationally difficult
TinySmolCat@reddit
owning homes isn't that big a deal. If you put the same amount in the stock market you would have put in paying off a home, you most likely made more money, especially given the recent bull market.
Home ownership is just a thing they sell to people as "the marker of success", to drive up home prices for the boomers who own them. Always look at the people who are telling you to buy something and what their motives are.
The bigger problem is that most people have zero fiscal responsibility and just buy shit the moment they get their paycheck: they should invest more of it in reliable assets
randCN@reddit

DreamsServedSoft@reddit

Nasapigs@reddit
This works until you realise we're a consumer economy
J3wb0cc4@reddit
The prices are indeed insane. We couldn’t even buy a house for ourselves without having a relative pay rent to help with mortgage. And do you know what our total household income was at the time to afford a 450k house? Like 250k. Your salary needs to be more than half the price of the house to afford it these days. And it’s tight budgeting, no weekly trips to the clubs or buying fancy toys. No big Christmas or bday gifts or trips etc.
CaterpillarLoud8071@reddit
Because you can't work your way into wealth any more, unless you get really lucky. Young people today look at their parents - mine can't manage money for shit, don't earn much, but got lucky buying a nice house when they were dirt cheap and were rewarded with big pensions they didn't contribute much towards. That generation is not exactly a good role model or advertisement for meritocracy.
We know we can't get the same by working hard because they own all the wealth and we'll only see it when we get an inheritance. So it's no wonder many of us are lazy and entitled as well.
Bakisyeetaddiction@reddit
Dudes who say to bring back physical bullying were 100% online/home school raised kids with 0 social circle
Chadzuma@reddit
Bullying can be good because it teaches you how to solve your own problems, as you can stop bullying pretty easily by just figuring out how to make the bully realize it's more trouble than it's worth to bully you. Like if it's not fun for them or inconveniences them in some way they won't want to do it and will just leave you alone. But some people cannot figure out how to do that on their own or are too passive so they just let the bully sink his teeth in and at that point trying to stand up for yourself is too late and gets shot down, or it might spread to an entire group bullying you which is almost impossible to reverse.
But now if you get rid of that trial entirely it means nobody in your generation gets a chance to pass the trial either and consequently your generation ends up way more pussified to the point where it's normal for you to s*lf-c*nsor even the most milquetoast words completely unprompted

DreamsServedSoft@reddit
yea it’s easy to simp for but man some kids were absolutely tormented for no reason of their own. they just got rolled bad genetics by their parents and were otherwise normal but looked weird for a few years. no one deserves lifelong scars (literal scars) for that
BrocoliAssassin@reddit
Yeap, it fucked up my education. Kinda hard to learn when you're getting bullied 24/7.. Even worse is that the teachers stand up for bullies.
I honestly believe this is part as to why our society LOVES sociopaths and pieces of shit. They've literally been raised not only by their peers, but justified by the adults that these are the good kids that get everything they want.
SenatorCoffee@reddit
Man, in my experience some kids werent even weird, in any way. The most viciously bullied kid in my class was this perfectly normal, nice kid. The class just somehow decided that beating down on this guy is some kind of funny running gag and went with it.
I have no idea where this comes from, the 90s onward media mindfuckery might be one aspect, but also maybe perching little kids from completely different backgrounds together with little real guidance might always have been a bad idea.
mischling2543@reddit
Schools should ask why you were bullying the kid.

Clearly y’all weren’t bullied enough. More bullying would have cured your Reddit brand of autism
Odinskriger@reddit
Until you get bullied. Then you will see the futility behind it.
Misenum@reddit
Everyone gets bullied and bullies others, it’s a rite of passage growing up. Kids that fail to stand up for themselves continue to get bullied until they learn. Unfortunately, autistic people have a difficult time understanding this and with the number of people with autism is on the rise, so too are the cases of ineffective bullying.
Odinskriger@reddit
I am not sure if you are talking about teasing or bullying as in hazing someone now. It still goes though, bullying doesn't add anything. I couldn't give two shits if it's part of life, or a rite of passage. I want to say a few things more about what I think bullies deserve, but jannies would ban me if I said them.

I'm used to this being the north east where rent/buying a house has been expensive like this for the past 30 years.
The rent people are crying about today is the rent I've seen about 15+ years ago here. I've had all my southern friends tell me about how easy life is and mirroring what was said in Anon's post. Just the property tax and insurance costs on my car was enough to pay for 6 months rent in southern states.
I can't lie. I am kinda happy to see that they are in the same pain I am. It's only been a couple of years and they've already managed to quit life while loads of us over here have been dealing with it for decades.

The real answer is the economy is fucked.
Like far fucked that the GDP or stock market indicates.
Odinskriger@reddit
The economy is a consequence but also the cause of a thousand atomic transactions and decisions. Lots of guys simply have nothing to work or live for. So they check out and just self indulge. I can't blame them. I would even advise them to do so.
Earthworm-Kim@reddit
i don't get why everyone thinks this is all about incels or stagnant losers
as long as you look half decent and can afford the rent, living in a city today as a 25-35 year old man, you have infinite pussy on the apps. from 18-35, one click away, every day. if you're above decent and charming, or have more money, you have a literal harem
between that you have social media and the self-indulgence you speak of, sure, but the people who would want to settle down and take out a crippling house loan are the "weird outliers"
(not saying either is better or worse, generally, just that there's more going on than disillusion and "opting out")
Odinskriger@reddit
These days you barely afford rent with the wages you make these days, that even for a normie conformie it starts getting less and less worth it. Also, the average guy can not pull girls left and right. Remember the 80/20 rule. 80% of men are deemed unattractive, which is a nice word for ugly. About 15% percent are considered 'mid'. Only 5% gets to have fun. That means that at least 80% of men are closer to so called incels than so called chads. No average guy is having these women at the tip of their fingers.
So an average guy, not an incel, barely can afford rent, very occassionally will have attention from one single girl every so many months or years. In the meanwhile they see how women are partying while they have to work hard to just get attention from one. That's terrible. Yes, try and imagine how it is for an absolute loser then. It's sort of funny how we're made to believe that men are strong and forge their own destiny, while they're actually the ones who are the most at its mercy. No manifestation techniques if nothing happens for you anyways.
Earthworm-Kim@reddit
the whole 80% this and 5% that might be true as a whole, but i think it mostly gets repeated by shut-ins and people not even participating
an average guy can definitely pull girls left and right on the apps, it's all about a mix of their expectations and standards
even if u make a completely stupid profile and make it clear you're really only looking to fuck, you will get girls. now, if they meet your standards is something else, and more of an issue with the person, not the "system"
i agree that it's not looking good for the absolute dregs out there. women of equally low beauty/social skill etc. still have a leg up on them, just because of how society works. they can more easily find another loser to grow old with. that's a big part of the "loneliness epidemic" and probably what this article is mainly talking about. men "opting out", just being self-indulgent consumers, not willing to put the grueling work in to have a 1% chance at success, financially or romantically etc.
but if you're a normal-ish guy not really looking to settle down, you've got a decent place, decent hygiene etc., there's no reason to move out of the city and take out loans for a car or a house and all that a4 shit. just have fun

Millennials as children were assured that simply going through the proscribed pathway was enough to achieve a lucrative career that would ensure the kind of savings, home ownership, and equity our parents and grandparents had. Part of this lead to our own entitlement, which is on us to police and overcome, but was also TAUGHT to us by our parents’ generations, who while more willing to be subjected to grueling work conditions have the self-advocacy skills of a lab rat. Combine that with disintegrated anti-trust enforcement and the death of campaign finance reform, and you have us: Self-advocation savants with brittle bones and absolutely no means to seize bandwidth in our nation’s levers of control.
Nasapigs@reddit
Add to that the brutal end result of individualism with the selling out of western nations.
Ooofisa4letterword@reddit
As opposed to the joys of a communist nation?

Don't forget they also whined the whole time about how hard everything was because their parents who did get all of those nice benefits gave them unbelievably easy childhoods and didn't beat them enough.
purgingthought@reddit
Hah. I was way ahead of the curve.
I've had arrested development for the last 30 years of being an adult.

I'll gladly work, get a wife, and have kids when the evil guys and their system of slavery are taken out :)
philmarcracken@reddit
I used to struggle with the concept of being an adult too, growing up. When is it supposed to happen, because we know turning 18 or even 21 doesn't hit right.
In the shower it dawned. Golf is the perfect thought experiment. Just focus on golf, and if you think about the game itself, only two options remain
Play the game normally
Fang around in the kart
Only an adult would pick the former
Agianttruckofpizza@reddit
These takes are retarded. There is no benefit to being emotionally and physically tormented as a child. If you were bullied and think it helped you become an adult, then I’m sorry to say you’re just coping with your trauma.
edbods@reddit
i bet you people that say bring back bullying really mean bring back letting people call out others when they say or do stupid shit.
Odinskriger@reddit
Who decides what is doing stupid or dumb shit? Normies? People calling for this type of shit, always seem to forget the sword can also be pointed their way.
edbods@reddit
if i do something as stupid as sticking my hand into a device that very obviously has sharp high speed blades i fully expect no end of people mocking my intelligence and questioning how i have managed to stay alive up to that point
wrathofbanja@reddit
There's a good chance the bullying would not be needed in that particular scenario.
cry_w@reddit
In that case, that doesn't actually help, though, considering the punishment would be very immediate and severe.
edbods@reddit
in any case, i do stupid shit i'm not gonna demand sympathy
DarkScorpion48@reddit
That is exactly like. It’s more like Bring Back Shame. Not shaming and ridiculing per se, but society lost all it’s sense of shame which was a tool to keep social contracts working.
Snoot_Boot@reddit
Call me crazy but i think it might be because less people are having kids at like 17 nowadays. Older generations grew up faster because they had to become parents at an early age more often. Now abortions are more common and there's more contraceptives to utilize. 30 year old yuppie couples just adopt a dog instead, or a cat if they're single.
The "less bullying" theory is retarded because of social media. Maybe less people are getting wedgies, but that's probably been replaced by bullying thru social media. It also allows you to be bullied by people from around the world.
Older generations are coping because [blank] was harder in their day (which is the point of human progress) and now they're essentially "mad cuz bad"
brohan58@reddit
It's awesome how people want bullying back. Aren't there enough school shootings lately?
Larstato@reddit
God I hate millenials. It's good these people own nothing.
sharplyon@reddit
"whats wrong with [next generation]?!?" - quote from every generation after promising they wouldnt do it after the last generation did it to them
Sleepy_Redditorrrrrr@reddit
Gen X & Boomers are panicking as they see the next generation isn't falling into the trap they made for them so that they could get richer. No big loss
Curiouso_Giorgio@reddit
Bullying doesn't usually make people buy houses and have children, economic security does.
Sometimes bullying might drive someone towards economic success, like Musk, but I'd guess more bullying victims end up poor and dysfunctional than fabulously wealthy.

Because all the "traditional milestones" have been commodified into a machiavellian nightmare. Can't afford a house, can't afford a degree, even if you can good luck getting a job with that degree since they only want to hire Dr. Saar or develop a bot to do your job. We can't even "afford" a decent girlfriend since dating apps commodified sex and attraction. Even the most mildly attractive females have the top 1% of attractive gigachads in their area to bottom them out and have zero interest in anything else because "you deserve the best, queen" friends keep gassing them up.
It's all a shit show and it isn't going to get any better.
nnuunn@reddit
Only people who got bullied think bullying is good, it's a cope that says their struggles made them stronger.
Odinskriger@reddit
Yeah, that saying 'what doesn't kill you makes you stronger' is one of the biggest copes I have ever heard. It's a platitude to keep you docile.
Odinskriger@reddit
Yeah, why can't they just serve someone else's purpose and not life for their own endeavors? Also, a lot of guys, because that is what they mainly are talking about, are not taking off because they literally have nothing to live for. I support these men checking out and I would urge them to indulge in hedonism. Fuck the world, it doesn't care about you.
ZMowlcher@reddit
I can't afford shit
WendyLRogers3@reddit
A big difference between wild animals and domestic animals is that the former "grow up", but the latter have through various means been kept in an adolescent state despite physical maturity.
Nobody has connected the dots, how there are organizations, even governments, that work hard to keep people from "growing up", because such people are easier to control and dominate. In effect they are "domestic humans". Such organizations condemn and fight against "wild humans".
WillNotFightInWW3@reddit
The biggest milestone of adulthood is having children. Without them, you become the child and have little reason to "grow up".

And anon isn't a zoomer, so the article is most likely about him. Makes sense.

Hey so recent studies show literally even instance of bullying matters and stacks up negatively.
Unfortunate for the stoicism chuds. Ofc tho they don't believe in sound studies tho, so nothing will change.
