Sighted in Stone Creek subdivision in broad daylight!

What a cutie! My son used to see them in the storm drain by his bus stop but he leaves later now.
Ever seen a coyote OP?
No_Lettuce6302@reddit (OP)
Yes! He was popping out of a storm drain.
Yep! Only once or twice here in Plano, but saw them quite frequently when we lived in Austin!

One time I was walking my dogs and this older couple started screaming at me to turn around because they had just seen a "small tiger." I explained bobcats and that they live in the storm drains and they were very confused because "why would they do a thing like that?" 😂 Maybe I'm just too used to it haha
My neighborhood had a coyote issue maybe 5 years ago? They were roaming around during the day and even walking up to the Elementary school! Definitely freaked people out for a bit
easilyamusedand@reddit
They do it cuz there's no people down there.

PSA for all of you Plano people, bobcats and coyotes are all over your area. Every neighborhood. I work in home security and have been all over DFW in thousands of homes over 4 years now. I have seen SO many coyotes and bobcats in literal downtown Dallas that it would blow your mind. They are all over your alls suburbs, it’s just rare that they let you see them.

I used to see bobcats, coyotes, owls, and hawks a lot more often (I live roughly in the Legacy/Alma area)
I also miss seeing foxes in Frisco. I used to see them all the time in the fields that used to be there.
Comicunderbite@reddit
We have grey foxes all over the Park Forest neighborhoods. I have a video of a bunch of kits playing on my trailer. We also spot them as we drive around at night. So cute.
normanboulder@reddit
Yea, like what is the point of this post? They saw some wildlife? Cool. They are everywhere all the time here.
No_Lettuce6302@reddit (OP)
The point is it’s rare and it was cool to see?
normanboulder@reddit
Yes it is cool, but not really rare, even in Plano.
Rory_B_Bellows@reddit
But you don't exactly see them every day, do you? It's not like someone posted a photo of a squirrel.
RelativelyRidiculous@reddit
He thinks he's hot shit because he works selling Porsche cars.
normanboulder@reddit
Actually I'm better than that, I fix them. Didn't know I had a jealous fan! Thanks!
PomeloPepper@reddit
It's rare to see them. I live along a greenbelt and walk there often. Even in their own territory I rarely see one.
lost_in_trepidation@reddit
I don't see them that often and I liked looking at OP's pictures
Independent-Math-914@reddit
I think it's more interesting when they are seen because at least for coyotes, they don't come out unless for a reason. I've noticed sightings only after heavy raim

Is your company hiring?
Aggravating_Brief337@reddit
We have here Preston cove on Ohio and park. They hunt the rabbits.
KawaiiDere@reddit
What a cutie 💖! Glad to see they're still kicking
tanyasstre64@reddit
So cute ❤️
friendlysoviet@reddit
If you're cold, they're cold. Let them in!
nazerall@reddit
That looks like the one i saw last week near Alma and Park.
I tried to get a pic but it dipped into the sewer drain.
No_Lettuce6302@reddit (OP)
I could not believe he stayed when I walked outside to get a better pic. But you are definitely correct. They are eating GOOD!

Curious if the curb it is next to has city drainage next to it. I've seen several come in and out of that network.

I need one!

Here kitty, kitty!
LimeyTart@reddit
He may have been the one I saw walking through my front yard on Teakwood yesterday.
Happyplaceforthem@reddit
I don’t see why you’re surprised, we’re in their territory actually, they’re not in our territory. Think about it.
Agitated-Sea6800@reddit
That’s my kitty sparky, he’s back home now.
NeverGiveUp75013@reddit
I was able to watch for several day a Red Tailed hawk enjoy its catch on a picnic table in a private apartment complex courtyard.
