How to deal with a difference with a colleague ?

I'm a male, and work in an office with a female the same age as myself (62), and we've got along OK up until now, but with autumn here, she's put the heating on full, and I can't stand it, so have opened my window a couple of inches to let some air in, as I find it stifling. She asked me to close the window and I refused, saying I wanted some air. I said if she were cold, why not put a jumper on? She said why should she? We went home without talking. I came in today, and said we had to compromise, she should have the heating on as high as she liked, and I'd open my window. She disagrees, and says I'm being unfair. Am I?
