From my research - but still take with a grain of salt since I don’t know for sure - it sounds like what you’re thinking, that it’s being transferred, if they’re like Firstmark, it’ll be transferred to something like a post default department (that’s what it’s called at Firstmark.)

When I logged into Firstmark today, since the default would’ve happened yesterday, it now says the loan status is collections. When prior to today, the loan status always said repayment. From what I learned about Firstmark, a defaulted loan goes to the post default department, so that’s probably why the loan I’m seeing says collections now.

So basically - I think your loan is being transferred, whether to a post default type department or collections, and that’s maybe why your website overview is looking that way. Check it between now and the 72 hours, and see if anything changes.

But try not to spazz (way easier said than done, says I the chief spazzer here) because you’ve finally made it to this point so that means you’re on the road to getting this loan situation of your life. And everything else they do now going forward is meant to scare the shit out of us.
