Looking for good companies around Plano that do window replacement. If you had yours replaced in Plano, who did you go with? Also wondering about recommended brands and types as well. Thanks!

Whatever you do, don’t contact Winchoice USA. Wasted an hour of my time and quoted me $67,000. My house is 2,000 SF one story.

Yeah they are so sketchy.

Hopefully the windows were high quality - paintable/stainable wood frames, with triple pane glass. That's not an outrageous price for really good windows, assuming 15+ windows. But do suburban tract homes need $2k+ per window windows.....not really.

I did a lot of research. Maverick windows better quality windows when window world and better warranty with similar price.
Anderson or Pella windows triple the price same warranty. If you have lifetime warranty why do you need to pay triple the price for windows that technically last 2-3 years longer with Andersen. Seems like Andersen and Pella are triple the price but the extra money goes to their big marketing budget getting their name out.

Had them replace different windows over the years by far the best price.

Anderson. Expensive but high quality. Before the windows, we couldn't get our living room below 85f in the afternoon. The setting sun hits a panoramic window. Now we could have 70f if we wanted.

I used Red Oaks contracting and had a wonderful experience. It’s a local couple who owns it and the price was very fair and upfront, no extra fees. If I had any concern or wanted to change anything they were easily an email away.

Window world did our whole house. Best price and good quality/quick work. James Adams was our consultant. 4695830297

Window World is by far the cheapest option around. We've gotten quotes from 3 or 4 different places and Window World was about half the price.

We used Window World and they did a great job at a fraction of the price of others in the area. Same quality window, great service with installation and clean up.

We had ours replaced by Optimal Windows a month or two ago, and we really liked them. TBD how it holds up over time but we got ~8 quotes and they came in at a reasonable price and we really liked them. Of all the quotes we received, they were the ONLY one that fully itemized the quote, it really made it feel like such a more transparent process

Cannot recommend Metroplex Windows & Glass.
We had them replace virtually all the window glass in our current house - and totally expected it to go well because they did a good job at our old house.
Well, this time around, they did a crummy job, and in every way.
Repeated ordering errors led to multiple install visits and thus multiple work interruptions.
The installer dinged up virtually every sill so badly we had to use wood filler before repainting them.
Extremely poor caulk jobs in multiple spots, so we had several significant water leaks next time it rained.
Slow to fix all of this and not particularly apologetic.
Would never use them again.

I also had a terrible experience back in 2019. I would stay away as well, there price was lower so we went with them, big mistake.
I think the gas in the window is already out too, I can feel heat thru the window on a hot day which wasn’t the case during the first couple of years.

I used Pro 1 Windows and Doors about three years ago. They have access to any brand you would want. I had them order and install Amsco Windows due to their thinner frame for vinyl.
