Youtube gun people tend to have forearm tattoos, beards, but many have an effeminate voice with great articulation. Not a knock. Just seems to be the kind of voice that is easy to clearly understand and listen to for long periods over what you'd imagine a person who looks like that would sound.
Bro has a massive ass-hair beard and a bigass flannel in sunny 85 degree weather and "We the people" cursive and Spartan hoplite tattooes on both arms and is printing the 5 extra mags he's carrying on his belt
It’s dog shit. The beans are not good and it’s over roasted. My wife and I coffee snobs and thought we’d try a bag of BRCC. I don’t remember which one. Anyway, we didn’t make it through the bag and gave she dumped into ziplock bag and took it to work for the break room. Coincidentally I was at Dunham’s today buying ammo and they had BRCC cans on clearance for $1.17 each so a grabbed a couple because it was cheap. It still sucked and I see why it’s alway on clearance.
Most of them have never served . When it came down to it , they were cowards. Now they fantasize about protecting their property and families from a home invasion or government tyranny . Their whole identity is wrapped up in special forces cosplay and firearm collecting but we all know they are compensating . They are a very fearful people … they talk loud, threaten loud but we all know they are just afraid .
Saudi Arabia? Israel? UAE? Qatar? you're gonna have to be more specific about which country that has dirt on the current government that you're referring to, because it could literally be any of those. or maybe it's all of them? let's just keep it simple and say all of them.
I always hated that bullshit talking point saying “they’re afraid, they fantasize about killing!
Although there are freaks that fantasize about having a shootout, it’s very very much the minority. People who prepare for stuff aren’t “afraid”, they’re smart.
If you buy a generator and basic survival gear, are you fantasizing about having a hurricane hit you and terrified all the time? No, you’re prepping for the worst case scenario. With survival gear and guns, it just so happens to go along with a hobby as well if you enjoy survival or firearms.
In hurricanes or disasters, people are always running to the neighbors that over prepared to get their help with basic things. They don’t make fun of them when the time comes to need those things. Same happens when shooters are stopped by a trained gun person, people flip their script and are thrilled they were saved because someone else prepared properly.
An entire gun owning generation was convinced in a matter of years they needed a down payment on a home's worth of cqb rifles, optics, lasers, lights, clothing, plate carriers, pouches, radios, helmets, nods, bullshit training at 3 yards, coffee, t shirts, etc. by these dudes.
I had a LEO buddy ask me if I wanted to get in on a group buy of plates. Dude.... When the fuck am I going to need plates?! I shoot paper, steel, and golf balls for fun. I'm not looking to get ready for civil war 🤣
No exactly, its that exact experience 1000 times over.
These guys believe more in having to be ready for a direct action raid with their bros during the apocalypse than having a brokerage account or college fund.
9/10 guys i meet that have fallen into this trap are not high earners or squared away financially where spending $20k on bullshit doesn't matter. They're living paycheck to paycheck, paying rent, and just blowing what's left on nylon. Its fucking insane.
I have the bare minimum of gear for a serious "SHTF, world has truly gone to hell" scenario. 5.56 rifle with an ok red dot, plate carrier with mag pouches and IFAK, a single set of plates, and a helmet. Helmet I got for basically nothing at a state surplus sale.
I fully expect to never need or use any of this, and I'm not buying any more. Everything else is going towards 401k, IRA, vacations, and a down payment for a house.
Former lotsa-things here. In the unlikely event that there is a shtf scenario, the best way to deal with it is to invest in a bunch of non perishable food and stay the fuck home. There will probably be plenty of really cheap guns and ammo and gear and whatnot from the LARPers who got themselves arrested or shot once all the dumb shit is in the rearview mirror.
Yeah dont get me wrong there is nothing wrong with having some just in case stuff. Youre definitely in the 1/10 portion. The problem is the rest of these guys are allocating 100% of their resources toward the 0.001% probable situation with TONS of equipment and the most expensive shit they can buy to boot while putting 0% toward the 99.999% probable situation of buying a house, paying for school, retiring, etc.
Don't forget how this same group persuaded everyone to buy ONLY Holosun/Streamlight or Aimpoint/Surefire combos and overspend about 1000x what the actual firearm costs.
It needs to note that he immediately goes out and buys a new $3k rifle whenever something slightly different comes out, even if it's still just an 11" DI AR.
i'm really proud of my couple of Aero builds that came out to like 1200 bucks and shoot great and 90% of gun reddit is just " new toy" and its either a boutique AR with more money in the trigger group than i've got in the whole rifle, or Yet Another Honey Badger.

My dad, his second wife, my granddad, my cousin an uncle and I myself did time in the military. Happy to do it. Now if we could talk where the rest of my tax dollars go, I’d have some strong opinions the other way. But your salary is well deserved.

We were in Irak, Afghanistan and some other countries pretty much non-stop for almost 25 years. Huge waste of resources in my opinion! Good thing the current administration seems intent on unwinding these entanglements to a degree.
I know some very high level retired military people with decades of service. Guys who started as door kickers to managing brigades. Even they don't make their whole persona the military.
There is the exception of those that left the military due to medical conditions or injuries either combat related or not. For example I had an uncle who was a machine gunner in the Marines in the Pacific in WW2, fought at both Iwo Jjma and Guadalcanal who was wounded in combat spent almost a year in a hospital and discharged with 100% disability. Or even my former brother in law who was also a marine and given a medical discharge with partial disability after being injured in an attack on a guard post in Panama during operation Just Cause.
Oh that wasn’t a dig on what you said. I just meant it as a joke. I can’t disagree with what you’re saying man, there were definitely people I met in the military that shouldn’t ever even hold a gun. I’ve even seen a SNCO get their M9 taken because of their carelessness with it.
